RIP he was one of the good ones
Guy was a class act in many movies.
There was one scene he did for Picket Fences a long time ago that was hilarious. You gotta watch the whole scene, it sets up the finish.

He was a really good actor. He was great in 2 of my favorite movies….(A River Runs Through It) and (Contact) . I liked him in Top Gun too.
RIP Tom Skerritt💔
I woke up to this sad news today.
One of my very favourite actors, over so many years.
I'd just watched A River Runs Through It on SBS yesterday, and thought of how long I'd been seeing him, in so many movies, and how good he was in all of them.
RIP Tom Skerritt.

I honestly don’t remember him in the first Alien movie, but I don’t remember the movie much anymore either, It came out about 50 years ago.
“ I wasn’t look’n at his neck.” 😆
Fly high, Viper. Fly high
Damn, it's horrible seeing all the stars from your childhood gradually pass, 93 is a great innings though. For me Alien is the first thing that comes to mind, poor Dallas in the air shaft with Lambert on the com... Great in Contact too.
RIP Tom
Alien is still one of the best done "scary" movies of all time. The expert level of tension building is something you rarely see anymore in "scary" movies.
That movie has aged very well.
After the 2nd (Aliens)...the rest are forgettable....especially the most recent ones.
We had never seen anything even close to it at the time. I should rewatch it.
93 is a great run.
RIP sir.
"Is that why you fly the way you do? Trying to prove something? Yeah, your old man did it right..."
Rest in Peace
I recently watch an episode of "the closer" where he was a cop with a terminal illness wanting to close an unsolved case.
He did it justice.
I will try to edit with the episode info.
