Fastest man?

I wish that people would stop calling James Stewart the fastest man on the planet. Its just not true. RV,Reed,Dungey,Canard,ETC. Could all go that fast, but they prefer finishing over possible trip to hospital. We all have seen RV find extra speed when needed,but when its not safe he just goes within the limits of the track.

It is very annoying to keep hearing that statement. it could be true, if he would be able to go that fast and not crash, but until then,its just hogwash.

RD is the fastest man, until the new sx/ mx series ends and the results are up! Fastest and best are 2 different words!

james is clearly the fastest on his good nights. but the "fastest man on the planet" bit is getting old, quick.

i hate hearing it and i hate that the announcers insist on cramming it down the viewers throats.

Yep i think its the over use that irks some and also that it diminishes others performances when they get fastest lap of the night even when JS is there. The fastest man on the planet seems to change race to race depending on lots of factors like who is willing to hang it out the most and who likes the track etc.

Yeah, Bubba is not the fastest b/c he annihilated the field, had an horrific crash, okay, bad crash, recovered, almost passed out getting back on his bike and then worked his way up to 9th... I guess those guys he passed up to work back to 9th are just terrible riders... oh, wait, they are some of the best! I want to hate the guy for many reasons, but god-dammit, that was what it's all about.

You can blame Ricky Carmichael, he is the one who said "James Stewart is the fastest guy to ever race a motocross bike".
He probably knows.

Funny that you actually state that James is the fastest man on the planet in your post, "Could go that fast, but they ....." So you are saying that they don't go as fast, fair enough. Since many of you are so effected by the "Fastest man on the Planet" phrase maybe we should change it to "Most willing man on the Planet".

He is definitely the one willing to risk it all to win a race. But it generally doesnt win championships,which is the ultimate goal.

Who care cares what some asshat announcer says. Enjoy the races, and enjoy one of the best supercross series that's taken place in the last twenty years.

History is taking place before our eyes and some are bitching about it.

You got a real hate on for stewart for some reason, who gives a shit what they call him. the guy can haul ass on a bike and we've been having awesome races to watch. it would be boring as shit if one guy kept winning all the races.
