Only $10 for all 2026 SX, MX, and SMX series.
I've thought about, that at some point in the future, some riders will only do sx and some only mx all yr... the American sx series would go on early in the year, then those riders would finish the season doing world sx.... mx riders would go between mxgp and American national events all yr long...
Wsx has basically been on the edge of disbanding since day 1.... I'd really like it to keep going... we shall see....
What is really for sale? The FIM "World" title naming rights and over extended pre-existing contracts with riders and venues?
Who would benefit from taking that over? Other series would be better starting from scratch.
Seems like the only interested buyer would be an org that sees the spend will justify having the series continue as is (or with minor changes). That rules out pretty much everyone except maybe Monster.
I imagine they are just looking for new investors. SX Global holds the rights to the FIM license and has since the inception of WSX. They were initially funded by a $50 million pledge from Abu Dhabi's sovereign wealth fund, which pulled its support within a few years. SX Global found two other billionaires to step in and keep it afloat but I guess those guys are now also done with losing money. I agree I can't see anyone buying into the current structure. If I had to bet I'd say SX Global folds, the FIM license goes back out for bid, and someone starts a new WSX from the ground up.
As someone else pointed out, the new group should rebrand it SXGP instead of WSX (women's supercross).
The existing TV rights contracts are probably the largest dollar value asset. Those are not so easy to stand up across markets.

Showing that there is willingness to put money into an existing structure creates trust and also that current creditors get paid.
If you let the house burn down to do a reset, a lot of venues, teams and others will just say fuck-off to a new owner. It would take a year to reset, minimum.
Branding exists, track designer cooperation, channels for getting dirt, streaming contracts, organization itself incl social media with 250k+ followers, great documented engagement numbers for current brand, agreements with teams.
The first house wasn't built correctly, people with wrong experience, house of cards. Current structure is robust. Just need finance and longevity.
It should never have been a championship, these should be exhibition races, teams get to test new set ups, riders coming back from injuries get gate drops, rookies get seat time on proper tracks.
I just want to see my heroes go out and throw whips and have fun, someone like Eli could travel the world on his final year and the global fans get to see him ride in person.
Maybe, but didn't KTM do the opposite?
They still have a network of suppliers/partners even after letting it all burn.
The date from the Argentinian race is also missing now on the official website... 🙃
KTM actually has assets…
It didn't burn so to say. Reconstruction, all legal commitments except financial ones still stand.
