The bracelets are real bracelets made of silicone plastic. The holograms are real printed plastic holograms.

That's about as far as anyone can say they are "real". As the ad you linked says, these are sold as a fashion accessory. They are that. Nothing more. Perhaps a lot less.

There is no such thing as an "embedded frequency" in a hologram. There is no such thing as a bracelet's "frequency" interacting with a person's "energy field" to do anything.

If your going to buy something that doesn't work, then spend the money and the real one, thats not quite as fake as the copy.

You get what you pay for.

i have a Phiten x30 bracelet and swear by it.

speaking of, i have bad neck pain from a couple injuries last year and tried a Phiten x30 necklace for a week. i was convinced. mine is on order as we speak.

my opinion on the matter?

mind over matter. whether it "physically" helps me or my body... it's neither here nor there. but my mind believes in it and it physically feels like it helps me. i've always worn copper bracelets or something similar since i was 12.

What exactly are you asking? If Powerbalance works or if the ones in the picture are real?

Do they work? I dont know, probably not to be honest. But a lot of people like them and I am a seller of them. I htink it is mostly mental to be honest. i.e. the people that think they work will defend them those that dont call them a scam.

I sell them, real ones. If you want one I'll sell you as many as you want whatever color or size. The picture there is from the website. So you cant really tell if the ones listed in your link are real or fake because they are a display picture. The real hologram doesnt look like that, but that is how Powerbalance displays them. If you are interested and want to see pictures I can send you some.

I think you just hit the nail on the head. I totally believe its just a sort of old Chinese mind trick that lets your mind believe its working. Seems very possible in my mind.

They say this works really well too, and is an even more unique fashion accessory:

Honestly, the only way anyone would believe in their mind that it works is if they are told that there is some possibility of the claims being real, otherwise no one would be able to convince themselves that it works "for them". Crap by any other name is still crap. If you want to convince yourself that it will work for you go ahead.

i believe mine work for me, so why try to say otherwise?

it's no different than trying to demerit a person's religion. just sayin. if you don't like it, don't use it. simple as that.

In Australia our consumer watchdog ACCC (Aus Competition and Consumer Commision) have demanded that the distributors refund all powerbalance purchasers their money after no evidence could be provided about the so called benefits.

same here man, my right wrist hurt pretty consistantly since i broke it about 9 years ago. Then when I got in the chair it became unbearable because the pressure transfering from my chair into bed or car or whatever put on my wrist made it feel broken again I actually got x-rays to check... Then I tried a phiten bracelet and that night it stopped hurting and hasn't hurt since... I don't care if it is just in my brain, it's made my life way better. I bought the necklace too cause my traps cop a hammering from holding my shoulders up to push, pick stuff up and just life in a chair.. it doesn't stop them hurting but it just seems to loosen my neck up.

I think the difference between phiten and the power bands is that phiten claims that titanium will improve your circulation

Power bands claim that an embedded frequency in a hologram will improve your power, balance, energy and whatever else.

I know which one I believe

And if you have to believe that it works in order for it to work, it doesn't work.

And if Nerd is Steve Cox and has some sort of issue with the placebo affect please say so...

If it(Placebo affect) makes Pourcel think he is healed or these guys feel better about previous injuries then thats better than them suffering through any kind of pain associated with said injury.

If you have an actual injury and the placebo effect makes you not feel pain for a while, you'll just end up damaging the injury more. Pain is there for a reason. That's how your body tells you, "Stop!"

The problem is that when you buy a product that states it does something that it doesn't actually do, placebo effect or not, the people selling that product are ripping you off.
