Gas back up over $5.00 in my neck of the woods. Filled up my wife car on Saturday on the reservation and it was $5.05 . I was seeing today it’s up right around $5.17.

$2 soon though right?

We’ll get to $2 as soon as Donald shows proof of firefighters pulling him out of the rubble on 9/11 like he claims.

Paid $5.39/gal yesterday here in Ea Washington. $70 to fill my s-10.

I really need to buy some tires soon for about 3 vehicles and a trailer. I wonder how much the price of tires has gone up since the beginning of the year.

quickest way to end this once and for all is limited nuke strikes on Iran until they unequivocally surrender. Never should have let up back in Feb and finished the job then and we wouldn't be here. Nothing comes for free or simple wishful intentions in this politically charged world.

Yea that would certainly stop any ‘death to America’ ideologies in Iran 🙄

There wouldn’t be any collateral damage from that with repercussions felt for generations to come 🤦🏼

collateral damage? how does that compare to the 50,000 protesters Iranian govt themselves killed from the peaceful uprising in January or the hundreds of thousands executed before them over last 47 years? The regime sees them as expendable like when they trotted out those people to use as human shields around power plants when Trump mentioned bombing them.

Ever heard of WWII and how that ended with unequivocal surrender of Japan? A cold calculated decision was made that the projected number of people killed in Hiroshima and Nagasaki if we used nukes was far less than the number who would be killed in all the countries fighting Japan if the war continued as it had been. Japan also was proud of Kamikazis killing themselves in the name of the motherland. Islam reveres Martyrs. Think about it.

I said the quickest way to end it. If that fanatical ideological regime that believes they are doing what Allah commands them to in name of their ideology are ignored or given enough time THEY will attempt to preemptively nuke Israel 1st and then us. They have told us that many times. Little Satan and big Satan. Israel has the best intel in the world and you can bet they will pre-emptively nuke Iran if the threat becomes serious enough and imminent. So using WWII as an example I would be fine with Nuking a facility like pickaxe mountain 1st and issue an ultimatum to Iran: you have 15 minutes to surrender. Any indications we get you are responding militarily instead of surrender, your holy city of QOM is next. They really have no reasonable option but surrender at that point, but they might be crazy enough not to opt for self-preservation.

That 50k protestors killed # is a massive overestimation.

So your saying that every government that has killed protestors, we need to strike them with nuclear weapons?

I'm sure China has way bigger numbers than Iran. Let's nuke 'em.

Since you're a bit of a historian, you're familiar with the total number of nuclear warheads produced in 1945 versus 2026 right?

I’m just trying to keep up because 2 years ago all I heard was Trump needed to be elected so we didn’t get into more foreign conflicts. And we needed to stop supplying Ukraine with weapons to fight Russia it was none of our business.

Now all I hear is the regime for the last 47 years had to be taken out.  But the admin claimed it wasn’t about regime change.

Which is it?

I'm enough of a historian to know those answers are unknowable (you can only count those that were/are DECLARED.) Your premise is irrelevant. what's your point?

those words didn't come from me. I'm referencing a single specific current reality. There is a case to be made for sparing as many innocent lives as possible as in WWII. Being a pacifist coward has never worked when sometimes you only have 2 unthinkable choices to select from. Carry on.

you poor uneducated man LOL. here's something to read that may help you understand the current world we live in. You're welcome.

"Those who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it" emphasizes the critical importance of remembering and understanding past events to avoid repeating mistakes.

Origin and Attribution

The most widely recognized origin of this idea comes from George Santayana, a Spanish-American philosopher, who in 1905 wrote in The Life of Reason: "Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it" . Santayana highlighted that progress depends on retaining experience; without learning from history, societies risk repeating errors. Variations of this quote have been attributed to other figures, including Winston Churchill, who echoed the sentiment in his speeches, emphasizing the need to understand history to prevent repeating past mistakes

Meaning and Implications

The phrase underscores that historical awareness is essential for informed decision-making. Ignoring lessons from the past—whether in politics, war, or social policy—can lead to repeated failures. It serves as a warning that human nature and societal patterns often recur, and without reflection, the same errors are likely to happen again

I dunno things are going pretty poorly right now.

For the record yes both choices sucked, but only one was a narcissistic sensitive little toddler.  The other was forced upon us. Neither is desirable.

impossible to say where we would be with Kamala  but I don’t believe she would have installed a bunch of sycophants in key positions.
