With posts like that you're giving Ft. Dodge a bad name. We have more gear brands than ever in Alive I'm quite sure.
Can you guys please just fix the the numbers? Make at least the front number plate numbers fit the plate? They are like micro sized and maybe a little style to the font wouldn't hurt either, thanks

Your unbeatable at Unadilla, seriously.

I grew up in Iowa and lived there until I was 19. My parents and best friends still live there, and I still call it home. I've spent my share of time there to say the least. Ever wonder how a track called Fort Dodge made it into Reflex?

I don`t care how it looks as long as physics are good and there is championship mode.

Dude, that looks amazing. New shift gear already. I take it that is MX Simulator. Who designs all the new gear and bikes for MX sim. It must take a long time, but it is released so quickly. It's a shame I dont have a computer good enough to run MX sim.

I know they got a bit to go with this game, but my initial thoughts are "Reflex looks better". Bikes, riders, gear... everything in Reflex looks better than these screenshots for this new game. Hopefully the final product looks how it should.

I also hope it still has the same control setup where you have to use both joysticks for control of the bike/rider. I like the concept and it's wayyyyy more rewarding then then the old 1 joystick way, which get's boring quick.

There's actually a good game hidden in Reflex. There's 2 HUGE changes that would make the game GREAT: Mutiplayer Server Browser and a GOOD Championship mode where you go through the ranks.

Oh one last thing... A TRACK EDITOR! Those 3 changes and everybody would be raving about Reflex (except the goons who always run into the Tuff Blox).

Yes it's MX Simulator. Much like the PC versions of Rainbow games there are many guys who do everything from tracks to skins to models. I have liked Rainbow's games in the past, I played the hell out of MCM1 and 2. But these console versions just don't seem to be advancing past what Unleashed was. Which to me was a step back from MCM2.

And this isn't a commercial for MXS, it has problems too. Firstly being too difficult for those who aren't willing to put in hours on it. Some of the motions and physics aren't perfect either, but to me they are a lot closer than Reflex. And while the graphics are scalable for bad computers, it takes quite a machine to run it at max for those kinds of graphics.

MX Sim is a fun hobby but it is not a game. It is a time vampire. The physics have some good attributes but overall the tracks and AI riders look PS1 era quality.

IMO they should have waited to announce this game a month before its release.

I have a late 2009 MBP with the 2.8 Ghz Core 2 duo and 4 GB of RAM. Even running it directly booted in Windows (not through an emulator), it is cranking hard to run it at full screen resolution. It can do it but it is on the verge of getting jumpy... the frame rate falls to around 20-30fps. It's definitely not as smooth as an XBOX with this setup. If you just have a Macbook with the integrated graphics chipset, I would not recommend it IMO. I bought it because I have a dedicated Windows (yuck) gaming rig to run it on as well.

It can be run also if you have a PC emulator or dual boot your machine into Windows. Do you have a Windows partition on your HD? Probably not the best idea unless you have an decked out Mac Pro or something. Our beloved macs aren't exactly known for their gaming prowess.

I think it looks like fun.....but what sucks for me is.....i don't play console games....PC only! It amazing what a PC genre type game is capable of , with all the mods you can do. User made tracks , skins , ect.....

At least I'll finally be able to try reflex out here in a few months when it gets released for PC.

You guys should really wait until it at the very least gets to Beta before jumping to conclusions.

Every game gets improved on immensely up until the date of release. It would be difficult as a game designing company to not give previews of the game when you have a fanbase begging for them, but knowing that the game is still improving everyday and the fans are going to think the preview is the final version.

All we've seen is a few videos of that one prince track, a handful of pictures and some explanations of new key features. I'm sure that's far from what the full game is. There's no point in whining and bitching about something you don't really know about and have no effect on. Sideways

It was released for PC about 3 months ago. Go to the Steam store and download it. They were running a special on it at one point for $4.99.

At this point in the process with a deadline a few months away that's pretty much a close to final build with tweaking and big testing going in. It takes more than a day to create cases and duplicate 1000's of discs for multiple consoles to be shipped all over the world and arrive on time for release. Tracks layouts are probably finished with maybe just a little atmosphere left to be added. Same for bike models, rider models, track objects, sounds and physics minus tweaking. What you see is close to what you guys are going to get. Whether it is good or not is up to the player to decide. By now it's to late for them to go back and redo something completely, like say physics. That means they would have to retweak the AI on every track to conform to the new physics. There's just no time.

What you aren't factoring in is the lead time to capture the footage. The footage you are seeing was captured months ago. It also has to go through approvals, video editing, and sent to our partners for posting. All this has to be done on a build we know is stable, so we plan well in advance.

It's amazing what can be done if the basis is set up correctly. Turning a few knobs makes very low risk, high reward tuning with the way our engine is set up now.

I wish they used the actual brands for the bikes still, but you gotta imagine licensing is expensive as ****.

Well Reflex is a pretty decent game except for the crashing, stupid creeks running across tracks, etc. What I don't get is the rider and bike graphics look a million times better on Reflex than the new game. Is this because it is still being finished up? I sure hope so. All they had to do was tweak the crashing, make realistic tracks, and fix the online play. That would have made for a great game. I'll be so pissed if this game sucks. It's the only game I play and the reason I have a 360.
