Any 220lbs+ guys on current 250f's

Yep 230 lbs right now and been on 250 4 stroke for life, i do think it's the best bike for a B rider (which i am), you can go fast it's light, agile and powerful. I would recommand going with the "torquy" 250 aka the YZF or the new CRF. I am sure you will love it, as you can ride them longer and more agressive. Anyway i can clear anyjump with a modern 250, the only place you would be limited is on deep sand track or a freeride compound with hugeee jump (axel hodges style - but who ride there ?)

If you struggle with arm pump, a 250f can really extend your ride time between breaks.  Im 230lbs gear on and just found this out after purchasing my 1st ever 250.  Previous bikes were all 450s and 1 150sx

Literally debating a similar thing for myself. Vet b/c rider currently on a 24 Yz 450f and formerly 23 450 sxf.

Was planning to get the Honda but 27 yz 250f or 450f is still of interest.

I definitely couldn't go the 250f as my only bike but I think it'll be my next 2nd bike. Got a chance to spin a few laps on a 25 250sxf yesterday. Was on a harder track but with a few decent hills and it pulled my fat ass around no worries. I would definitely have to be onto it more on deeper tracks but I think it could still be pretty fun as a 2nd bike.

Just waiting for reviews on the 27 yz250f to see how it compares to the previous model. If the new motor is still just as good or better I think I'll pull the pin on one.

Well I've decided to give the 250f a go, pick up my 27 yz250f on Friday. Wanted a monster edition but they won't be available till end of the month. Dealer has a blue model in the shop and I've got a few good rides over the next couple of wknds so thought I'd get that.

I'll report back after the wknd with my first thoughts.

Nice. Based on the reviews, it still sounds like a monster. And I would guess that while it might not have that initial blast and insane rev spool of the 21-23, you are gaining much more pulling up top, less shifting but while still having a bit of a familiar Yamaha feel. So I think that is good. Maybe it's the gearbox or whatever, but based on the reviews, it still sounds like it runs like a Yamaha, but just a bit of a trade-off. So I think you'll like it. Congrats.

I just went from an Older YF250F to a 350 Husky, and will most likely never ride/need a 250 again.   I also have a 450, which is my Supermoto race bike, but as an MX bike its just too much.

I would be buying another TM300 if i had to pick another bike.

Yeah I'm sure I'll love it, I'm not getting rid of my 350 or my 250sx so I reckon it will just be about picking the tracks it works best on and riding it there.

I am definitely hoping it has a more comfortable chassis feel on hard chop than the ktm. If it's really good in that area I might add a 26/27 yz450f to the fleet aswell ha ha.

For anyone interested, I have 2hrs on my 27 yz250f now and I'm pretty impressed. Bike is still completely stock and it is surprisingly good for someone of my size.

It will definitely need heavier springs but it is still very rideable and fun even with the stock stuff. Motor isn't a rocket off the bottom but definitely not bad, it's smooth but then pulls into a strong mid and top end. It definitely prefers to be ridden higher up in the rpm but that works for me as I am more of a revver than a lugger.

I'm very happy with how quickly I have got comfortable on this bike because normally it takes me awhile when I get new bike.

My biggest negative so far is a fairly busy and not real settled front end coming into corners. I'll wait until I get correct springs before I make a proper judgement on this area but.

But overall first impressions are very good, and if there's any bigger guys contemplating trying a 250f I say give it a go.

Bottom line, you'll have to ride ia 250F very hard and that means higher wear and tare. BTW, I went from YZ250F to a 300SX. Lighter, more agile and the same or beter lap times vs 350SX.

Verdict on the seat is I haven't comfortable sat down since owning the bike 🤣

To ride a 450 properly it takes a little extra fitness.  If you can ride twice a week or at a minimum once a week…..a 450 is fun to ride.  If fitness is not a huge focus and you just want fun….go with the 250f.   Riding a 450 without fitness takes the fun out of it.

Multiple people rode my bike yesterday and the number one complaint was the seat.
