Whose fault (crash off of jump with faster and slower rider invovement)

Faster dudes fault. Got to expect slower people to be all over the place. 

Looks like a practice situation and not a race situation, so it is definitely a crap shoot, but the lead rider should have been concerned about the possibility of a rider behind him at speed and should have pulled over at a better location.

GoPro faster rider at fault. Drifting over and cutting over 2 different things. Faster rider had so much time to go around on left side. I get cross jumping. You're in the air but on solid ground, he didn't do anything erratic, why do you think he's not entitled to pick his preferred line? Because he's slower?

Hell, the guy on the Honda admitted in text that he made at least 2 mistakes. 

faster guys fault all the way . No reason not to check up . You can never assume someone will hold their line . I'm 61 and see this shit all the time

GoPro guy had 3 business days to make a better decision

The faster guy's own caption on his post says "Definitely, my fault, should've been paying better attention and shouldn't have tried to pass on this jump anyways."

I completely agree with his self-assessment.

Both, However the faster guy is a moron... Had a week to see the dude fading right. I.E... Don't fucking jump and ride by and yell and flip the guy off and continue to ride for the day. But no, he felt like he was in the Supercross first lap and decided to jump and potentially injured both of themselves. 

Slow rider is clearly a new rider and does not know how to hold a line.  so yeah fast guys have to be prepared for those things.

I’m overly cautious when passing. Only time I rage is when someone tries to slow me up intentionally like we are racing. If it’s not one of my buddies and someone comes up behind me I don’t slow my pace but I’ll give the faster guy the better line to go by. I expect others to do the same, right or wrong. 

Go pro Honda guy is at fault… if I was the other guy I would be hunting GoPro Honda guy out and beating him with a pipe…..plenty of time to avoid this, at least move over a little bit .

GoPro guy is clearly at fault. Hope the guy who got landed on is ok and that the GoPro guy learns from this. If you've ridden long enough you've probably caused a crash or two from doing bone headed things. I know I have. 

If it were a trail sure I’d say the GoPro rider was mostly at fault. On a track slower riders need to make an effort to hold their line and stay to either side. It’s a given that people are trying to go fast on a race track, so act accordingly. 

Funny this came up today. I had a similar situation this weekend where I was drastically faster but waited for the right opportunity to make a clean pass. I ended up getting the short end of the deal over a small tabletop with a slight turn on the face. I hugged the inside and stayed straight as an arrow. He went outside, got squirrelly on the face, and T-boned me.

We both got up, had a little tussle, then cooled down and apologized in the end. I walked away with a knot on my forehead, a slight black eye, a swollen ear and hand, a bent set of bars, and a riding day that got cut a little short.

Oh , he said it was his fault!

I've never had this situation in practice or in a race because I know where to make my passes. There's been maybe a few riders (that I can count on one hand) that I trust enough to pass over a jump.

I'd feel like a total moron if I ran into a slower rider like this.
