Funny thing about the early 70's. I think there was over 30 different brands racing.

Sexton could only dream. He could switch brands 5x a season.

Keith Lynas says The Border Bandit was sort of a continuation of the idea that Edison Dye started with his Dye Rebel 125 of 1973.

The bike was designed and built by a company in National City, CA by Norring Mfg.

Norring was a partnership of Rob North a very famous British frame designer from the UK who engineered the factory Triumph and BSA road race bikes. And Ward Ring a local hop-up specialist.

They built around 10 bikes using Yamaha 125 MX engines in their frame. It also featured mechanical disc brakes.

Among the local riders who were testing them were Mark Wexeldorfer of Honda ATC racing fame, Pro flat tracker Murray Hoffman, John Tessitore

The MX Vault has at least one other mistake. Nowhere in the venues list can Southwick MX-338 be found. I've looked in every possible location, it is in the results section but every other track has a home in the venues list except Southwick.  Am I missing something?

It is listed under the T section in venues as "The Wick 338"
