Iran is going to collapse internally It's citizens are absolulely sick of this current regime and would love to see a change. Remember Iran use to be a very prosperous nation. The Iranian citizens look at their neighbors and ask why they have to be the ghetto country with all the oil they have. Iran is the terrorist center of the world. They are what makes Hezbollah, Hamas, The Houthis, and the Shiite militias possible with their oil money. The collapse of the current regime is a gift to the rest of the world. A massively reduced amount of terrorism.

Until our CIA and the UK’s MI6 took exception to it…..

What’s crazy to think about is that a lot of people still use the 1979 hostage taking as a major source for viewing Iran as an enemy. And that may even be valid.

But that was over 45 years ago. The time frame between our instigated coup that took Iran from a democratic form of government to a more oppressive and authoritarian monarchy was only 26 years, so a little over half as long.

It would be interesting to know what Iran might have looked like today without our actions of 1953. Maybe it would be close to the same, but I truly doubt it.

It would look a lot like Venezuela has. Turning towards socialism and then communism never ends well. Mosaddegh's.Government would not have lasted long. It's hard to call it Democratic when he nationalized the oil industry, steals the largest oil refinery, at the time, from the British and dissolves parliament to consolidate power. The British were the country that was responsible for building the Iranian oil industry, Not sure how that split should been done or been fair but neither side believed the split that was proposed was fair. Kind of reminiscent of Venezuela huh.

The events of 1979 are what turned Iran into an enemy. They continued to be an enemy with their relentless support of terrorism and pursuit of a nuclear weapon. This is undeniable.

Neither America nor the British are responsible for what Iran has become.

Easy. Drag it out at low intensity for the next 2 years so he can pass it off to the next administration just like afghanistan and then after they inevitably have to take a bad deal because of the cards theyre dealt he can talk about how much they screwed it up and how he would have done such a better job. He knows that if he can pass it off to someone else theres a big likelihood that he wont get the blame for how much of a disaster its become. Nobody blames him for the afghan pullout even though it was his plan being carried out that was left with impossible circumstances. So hes probably just gonna run that play back and itll probably even work.

I think that may have been true before the US and Israel started bombing them. But just like when somebody tells somebody that their kid is a trouble maker , or their political candidate of choice is a dumb ass,  people start to defend their kid, or political party. And defend  the same things that they would have condemned if not for that outside influence .  And I fear that the bombings have done more to make the people of Iran hate America and support the leaders.  From the perspective of an Iranian it may be on par with 911 in the US.  Perspective changes a lot, and the info  that the people in Iran get is very likely different from what we all get. It wouldn't be hard for a government   to spin things that way if they are able to limit the outside information that gets to the Iranian public..

They were tired of the way their leaders were doing stuff.  and were out in the streets protesting. But now they feel like they have been attacked and that is bringing them all together and creating a more united Iran.  Perhaps if the US went in and supported the people when they were rising up it might be different.

Trump and his silly spats with Canada  have had a similar impact  . Uniting Canadians.

This is my opinion, its not one that I am happy about or that I agree with. I would much rather see the US succeed in everything. And that's where I think a lot of people get confused about people who dislike Trump. In my case, I dislike what he is doing because I see it hurting the country. And its not a hate for the country that fuels most peoples dislike of Trump. I think that most people who feel strongly either way , hate or love Trump. Fell that way because they love the country and want the best for it.

It is what I see when I try and look at it objectively from the perspective of somebody living in Iran.

With Trump making threats of going after infrastructure that would also impact civilians and threats of "ending a civilization". It really wouldn't be difficult for the Iranian government to frame the US in a bad way. Especially if its already a part of the culture.  I'm sure that military advisors and people who are much smarter than I am would know this would have been  a possibility before it happened. So it really makes me wonder what the true purposes for doing what they are doing really is.

Speaking of Venezuela, the reports are that our country is seizing a pretty large part of their oil reserves and maybe even their future production. Does that qualify as a nationalization or are we actually just doing it so that the Petrocorps are able to increase their record profits?

Yea its pretty crazy how much of an own goal this stupid war was. Iran was in the worst place it had been in a long time, economy in shambles, massive protests, the houthi’s had signed an agreement with the us to allow red sea shipping to continue, gaza/hamas decimated, hezbollah humiliated with the beeper attack and smashed back beyond the litani river, israel had pushed beyond the golan heights borders and captured more syrian territory and finally captured control of mount hermon giving them the high ground over everything around in syria and lebanon, then on top of all of that you had the midnight hammer raid that supposedly demolished a lot of irans nuclear material for 0 casualties. Iran was on the ropes. Israel had achieved basically every thing it could possibly dreamed of minus the collapse of the regime. To go from that to where we are now humiliated, our expeditionary power in the region completely exposed as hollow, and the entire goal now being to open the strait which was open before the war is insane. Iran went from barely hanging on by a thread to now controlling hormuz, ppl rallying around the flag, smashing all of our bases in the region and maybe kicking us out of the gulf permanently. Complete and total disaster.

"Iran is going to collapse internally"

Above is what the Orange Faced Buffoon thought would happen when he first launched his bombing campaign on Iran back on February 28th.  He figured he takes out the leaders then the people raise up and take their country back.  Well that did not happen.  Instead we killed a bunch of schoolgirls, and that probably just caused more Iranian people to turn more hard line and hate America even more.  I stand by my post made back on March 13th.

You are against countries nationalizing their oil industries, to keep profits from foreign companies, but want Infront to share their MXoN profits.

That's a flexible attitude!

They would have gone that direction anyways with the Mossaddegh's, administrations future failure.

I don't know what reports you are referring to. I do know that the Trump administration made a deal with Venezuela that will bring them in far more money than Venezuela were getting before with the left wing Maduro. You do realize their oil production was in the gutter, correct. I get it you hate trump, that's fine but everything he does can't be painted as bad. You can try but it isn't.

I mean how bad of a president can he be we had Indy cars racing on the streets of Washington. Doesn't get any cooler than that.

Blaming Trump for Biden's failure? Trump has shown he is fully capable of running or letting his military run a military operation. Biden obviously could not.

The crippling sanctions that have just been imposed on Iran are what will make the government collapse. If Iran's current regime makes through the year I will be shocked.

I have a customer who invests in countries at war while they are in the war and prices are low.  There are people he knows that believe some wars are fought just to make money off of them because of the many ways that You can make money off of war.

Iran still had centrifuge's and was still hell bent on producing a nuclear weapon and supporting terrorism around the world.Hamas is still fighting Israel and the Houthis would never have stopped trying to control access to the Red sea.  A person can never trust a treaty with a terrorist organization. The collapse of the government of Iran will be a huge gift to the world.

000 Iran The Real Reason

If we did bomb a school it's an unfortunate tragedy of war. Their would be no war if the Iranians were not the terrorist center of the world.

The crippling sanctions that have just been imposed on Iran are what will make the government collapse. If Iran's current regime makes through the year I will be shocked.

My point exactly. I’m no fan of biden, at all, but in this situation he literally just followed the plan that was given to him by trump. You werent aware of this?

Speaking of Venezuela, the reports are that our country is seizing a pretty large part of their oil reserves and maybe even their future production. Does that qualify as a nationalization or are we actually just doing it so that the Petrocorps are able to increase their record profits?

I don't know what reports you are referring to. I do know that the Trump administration made a deal with Venezuela that will bring them in far more money than Venezuela were getting before with the left wing Maduro. You do realize their oil production was in the gutter, correct. I get it you hate trump, that's fine but everything he does can't be painted as bad. You can try but it isn't.

I mean how bad of a president can he be we had Indy cars racing on the streets of Washington. Doesn't get any cooler than that.

The “reports” include Trump’s own announcement that the United States obtained majority control over more than 65 billion barrels of Venezuelan oil. The arrangement reportedly gives a U.S.-controlled venture a 55% interest in production from 17 fields. That’s more than simply helping Venezuela sell oil.

And this isn’t merely recovering property “stolen” from American companies. Some Chávez-era expropriations produced legitimate claims, but those belong to specific companies and were handled through compensation and arbitration. Ownership claims against particular facilities don’t give the United States title to Venezuela’s oil still underground. Actual restitution would compensate the former owners, not give a new American venture majority control over 65 billion barrels.

It also looks like textbook privatized profits and socialized risk. Our government used public military and diplomatic power to secure access and will absorb much of the legal, security and geopolitical risk, while private companies extract, process and sell the oil. They collect the upside, taxpayers inherit much of the downside.

Maybe Venezuela will benefit. I hope it does. But you can’t call Iran controlling its own oil “theft” while automatically calling this benevolence. And dismissing that contradiction as “you hate Trump” doesn’t answer it.

I am aware if that being the excuse that liberals used for the disaster. Trumps record of working with the military doesn't reflect that at all. How do you reconcile that?

You are against countries nationalizing their oil industries, to keep profits from foreign companies, but want Infront to share their MXoN profits.

That's a flexible attitude!

Guaranteed not one the leftist cucks around here have spent a day in the Middle East. And I don't mean, confined to a US military base with no alcohol allowed.

Guess what, Skippy.... "democracy" doesn't work there, or in Africa, or in most of Asia.... hell, it barely works like a rusted old push lawnmower right HERE in the US!

Same in every single country in Europe. "Democracy" my ass.

Which country is the most prosperous in the ME? Saudi? Maybe. Qatar and Oman are hardly "countries", they're the size of Fresno.

Off the top of my head, I'm guessing UAE.  Feel free to fact-check me re. GDP, net worth of citizens etc.

You been to Dubai or Abu Dhabi? Not the airport, but spent time in those two cities? It makes any city in the USA look like 3rd world shithole..... which most of them have become, sadly.  Gee..... wonder why?

UAE is NOT a "democracy". Neither is Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman or Kuwait.

Something else none of these are, is a MUSLIM MILITARY DICTATORSHIP.

Iran and Afganistan are. Only difference between them is OIL.

Geddit?
