the difference in times from s womans to SMX is crazy. wouldve thought that Lala's wouldve been closer. Would be cool to see her pick up a bit more speed and enter the 250 series. with all the girls in amatuers coming up i imagine the class will get deeper in the next 5 years

Is Carson Wood the same person as Tiger Wood? Seems like an insane question I know but if my parents were dumb enough to name me Tiger Wood I'd change/go by my middle name as soon as I could

I was thinking the exact same thing, there had to have been something different about the track?  I know she qualified for a MXGP race this year pretty well and was in the top 10 until something happened and she dropped out.  But her pace should not be 10 seconds under SMX Next, I would expect her to be closer than that, something had to have been different in the track or something.

No. Tiger's real name is Thomas and he's from Australia.

I was going to post the same as you guys about the time difference. Maybe this is normal and we just never notice the time difference?

Maybe the track muddy for the women?

Anyways, 5 minutes till the show starts. Can't wait to hear the MXdN team announcement

I'm not sure what the story is behind Tiger, but it's cool.

Awesome!

Webb is so cool. "When the heat is on I rise". And I will never get tired of his shit eating grin.

Hymas is pumped. Says he has been wanting to go and pounding on Pelletiers door to do so. Nice!

Class guys who want to go race. I like it.

Charli and LaLas best time in the moto was 2:18 ish...that would place them about 11th-15th in the smx next race now

I was originally looking at qualifying, but top 20 in the  SMX next class would be solid (their naming convention makes me want to commit war crimes, just call it the pro sport)

Speaking to the 'next' class, has there been word on a more legitimized series starting  ala emx250?

this needs to be a pro-am/pro sport class and make it an actual 5/6 rd series, especially considering the age limit on the 250 class, there are kids at 14-17 that are ready for pros already minus age.

I think next year they plan to have them at half the races with the women at the other half.

There are no 'next big thing' names in there for me.

A few decent guys, but no-one who you could point at and expect to be a top guy .

That's because they have already moved up and raced nationals to get ahead of the 18 yr rule for next season...

That's if she can run that pace for 14 laps which ain't happening. It's cool to see the ladies get a chance to show their skills, but they are very far away from the men in speed, strength, and endurance. Same as almost any other sport where speed, strength, and stamina are major components of overall ability. Not bagging on them, as all of them are faster than I ever was, it's just biology/physiology.

I have not seen the track yet, but please tell me they put Godzilla and the huge stepdown back in? The track is pretty average without those obstacles IMO
