Levi Townley riding MX2 is interesting.

Very curious about him. Two weekends ago he failed to qualify for the main races in the ADAC MX Masters, not sure why. Maybe technical issues or just not fast enough?

Wasn't that because he qualified in the wrong group so got disqualified?

Townley had the 3rd best time in his group. a tenth faster then Leok who went on to win the event. However it turned out it wasnt his group and he got disqualified, wasnt allowed to start in the LCQ iirc.

Well, in ADAC, it seems they definitely stick to the rules.

I remember seeing GP riders being stopped from going to the grid, ( yonks ago)  when they missed the gate to the start grid closure time, by a split second.

Oh yes, i raced there for 8 years, you only turn up late once.

when the PA goes 'Achtung Fahrerlager' you listen, and fairly quickly learn that they dont do 'half past nine, its 'half to to ten'.   Also handy to know when booking restaurants.

I love to see Lucas back, but i dont really get their plan with the injury.

If he is not able to fight for the win or podium this makes no sense at all.

Maybe he’s seeing if he can ride back into some form; if he can, it’ll be Belgium’s best chance of winning MXdN for awhile.

With this type of issue, you cant 'ride yourself back in'.  Its a switch.  You are fine until you arent, when it switches you off.

I hope they find a solution , it needs rest and recouperation IMO , keeping trying every couple of weeks, is going to be a gamble.

Yes but what’s the alternative? Sit back, relax and wait for what? All I’m saying is I can understand why Lucas would be at least trying to ride; not for MXGP results, but for a chance at MXdN.
