The guy you see on Instagram with the all-white Stark throwing those ridiculous whips. Who is this guy? Where did he come from? And why is X-Games not inviting him to compete for Best Whip?

Because of the same reason it took them plenty of years to invite Patric Evans while having Vicky Golden there instead… Xgames is not about having the best riders there, it’s about having the ”right” riders…
Crazy when wearing all white seems outrageous now days.... I'm sooooo sick of black being a thing.... give it back to the emos and let us get back to wearing some color again...
He’s from Michigan raced pro a few years back.
Nick was a local fast kid whose speed didn't translate to the big stage. Parents sent him down to MTF to live and train. Went to Loretta's, didn't do well. Had some injuries. Raced a couple nationals with the all white gear and all white bike with no sponsors #999. Again, didn't do well. He became an instructor at MTF for a while. Developed MXLocker with college buddies and now is a YouTube moto influencer collaborating with the other moto influencers.

I really don't get into the moto Insta-reel / influencer culture too much, but that dude is impressive at what he does. He's very talented on a bike, especially his bike control in the air.
He's one of the few influencers that still impress me with every video. Him, Carson Brown, Toni Bou (not an influencer) make my jaw drop with every post they make.
I was pretty good thru my early amateur days, but I broke my femur at age 16 at a LL regional which turned into a big complication nearly costing me my leg. Never recovered from that mentally and my racing suffered ever since. I was over it before I even turned pro, but I did it for a few years because…well…like the majority of privateers I didn’t know what else to do. It was really difficult on the family too.
I was never an instructor at MTF…haha. I also didn’t technically start MX Locker. I was just involved from the early days, but it wasn’t my idea. I also never went to college, I met the founder of MX Locker because I needed money to race the nationals and was flipping gear from the other facility riders. Not involved much at all now outside of some basic content stuff. Grateful to have been taught a lot about business from my involvement over there, too.
I highly dislike the word influencer…I view myself as an athlete with a social, but I understand influencer is the easiest term. This route was never really my plan…but once it started outweighing my salary and benefits from my desk job I decided to take the risk and go for it. I mean why not? I get to ride for a living which is technically everyone’s goal that’s “chasing the dream” no? …even if it means I have to use shitty tending audios sometimes and do stupid poses for YouTube thumbnails…at least I don’t have to do 30s or excel sheets anymore! Haha.
X Games is…odd. They reached out in 2025 before SLC but I made the difficult decision to turn it down due to my relationship with Stark and wanting to stand my ground with electric. I definitely shot myself in the foot with that as I obviously didnt get invited this year (yes I told them I’d ride whatever I had to) but at the same time I dont really regret it. Even though it’s a “bucket list” event for me, I’ve already lived my actual dream of lining up on a professional gate so it’s not like I can’t say I didn’t get the chance to be on the big stage. If an invite happens, cool. If it doesn’t, cool. Probably not gonna change anything in my life even if I won.
Hope this clears any questions up 🙌
Thanks!
I don’t consider those guys influencers. They have legitimate talent. They aren’t making stupid controversial videos or showing their butts for likes. Not that there’s anything wrong with them big booty latinas who always show up on my algorithm. I wish I was so good looking that I got paid for it 😂
Thanks for sharing your story. Living the dream riding bikes for a living, keep on keeping on!
Well I guess that answers everything I was wondering about! Thanks for dropping in dude, you do some amazing shit on the bike. Keep living the good life!
Thanks for sharing your story!
I really like your videos! Enjoy, it's your time!! ✌️
Dude has some of the sickest bike control I have ever seen. Very impressive.
Front drops are so cool on Stark.
Yea, Nick thanks for sharing all of that.
It resonated with me especially on the femur injury. Had the same thing happen around that age too and it definitely put me many steps back on speed progression and mental toughness. Glad it didn't prevent you from riding too.
Also MX locker is great, I've used it with good success many times.
@nicktomasunas , I've commented on posts of yours that I think you could do a full barrel-roll whip. Just keep 'er swinging all the way around. (Easy, right??? hahaha.) Either way, your whips are GNARLY!
yeah I knew his dad Mark back in the day…I’ve got a great broken wrist Doc Metzger story about Mark…
