Yep 230 lbs right now and been on 250 4 stroke for life, i do think it's the best bike for a B rider (which i am), you can go fast it's light, agile and powerful. I would recommand going with the "torquy" 250 aka the YZF or the new CRF. I am sure you will love it, as you can ride them longer and more agressive. Anyway i can clear anyjump with a modern 250, the only place you would be limited is on deep sand track or a freeride compound with hugeee jump (axel hodges style - but who ride there ?)
If you struggle with arm pump, a 250f can really extend your ride time between breaks. Im 230lbs gear on and just found this out after purchasing my 1st ever 250. Previous bikes were all 450s and 1 150sx
Literally debating a similar thing for myself. Vet b/c rider currently on a 24 Yz 450f and formerly 23 450 sxf.
Was planning to get the Honda but 27 yz 250f or 450f is still of interest.

I definitely couldn't go the 250f as my only bike but I think it'll be my next 2nd bike. Got a chance to spin a few laps on a 25 250sxf yesterday. Was on a harder track but with a few decent hills and it pulled my fat ass around no worries. I would definitely have to be onto it more on deeper tracks but I think it could still be pretty fun as a 2nd bike.
Just waiting for reviews on the 27 yz250f to see how it compares to the previous model. If the new motor is still just as good or better I think I'll pull the pin on one.
