Torn between 07 and 2010. The caps look similar to what was on Rattrays bike in gps, and Alessis bike stateside in 2007. However I dont believe that indicates anything for the midvalve as they could mate any configuration to the CA. So I could very well be wrong. Nagl and Cairoli in 2010 confirmed cone valve. That base valve piston being so small is kind of indicative of the tech at the time. Pretty neat to have!

Thanks! The earliest consumer stuff I can find seems to be around 2014 so that fits in there with factory teams having the tech a bit earlier.
The rebound stack uses the same diameter face shims as the '14ish stuff but you're right about the base valve being smaller. I had them on my TC125 last season but need to find a better compression stack/setting for them. Maybe find a stock 125 stack with the same shim diameter and work from there?

The cone valves I have on my bike have a 2014 production date on the top cap.
The numbers above are the only ones on these forks - nothing else I have been able to find anyways.
The forks are together with the '14 rebound valving and a bit of a guess at the compression valving. Used them this way last summer but I haven't had them back on a bike since then. I think I'll throw them on and see how they work.
I would love to find an original setting list for them, just something to work off of and know that it's starting out somewhat close

Nothing like that on this set unfortunately. Any idea what the oil capacity is in those forks?
That depends on your setup. When I first had them revalved they set the oil to 390cc and I was bottoming a bit much on the bigger hits so the next service they changed it to 400cc and that took care of the problem.
Have to find my notes, but pretty sure I was right around 380 so at least I'm in the ballpark!
I sold the bike they were on and haven't tried them on the '23 yet to see how they work on it
I was just watching a JBI video and he mentioned in it about the first cone valve forks in 2007 so good call on that one!!
I have an Old 2006 SXS Fork and a Cone Valve from around 2012 so they came up somewhere between .

What are the SXS forks all about? Are they a kit fork that pre dates the c.v?
Your c.v forks look the same as mine other than I have black seal holders
I think these SXS Forks where Build from the beginning of the 2000s years when KTM Switch to USD Fork , and was replaced with the
Cone Valves in 2010-2012
The Red Cap on my CV was a replacement from the newer forks, the old black ones was Not availeable any more
Yes, the SXS forks are the "A-kit" forks that came before the CV forks. I'm currently running a set of SXS forks on my 250 SX.
I get these SXS Forks a few weeks ago for 300€ it looks like very low Hours.They are planed for my 380 KTM Projekt.
Meanwhile i took it into the 360 for testing .
Judging from the for lug color your forks are bit older generation around 2004'ish but I would need a picture from fork caps to verify that.

Ok then they are the lastest generation SXS forks 2006-2009
I did some snooping around and came up with the shim stacks for the SXS forks. I'm thinking of giving them a try in my early cone valve fork to see how it works out. Anyone ever gone that route?
