Buttery Got the Goods

His nose is so far up cringe lords ass it’s hard to watch/listen to

They understand the Deegans and know full well that it’s a formula that works. They’re leaning into the juvenile annoyance it causes.

I’m an old dude that has been watching their videos for ages and really like these dudes. They have the same spirit my friends and I had growing up with dirt bikes even if I don’t agree with everything they do.

Dudes will complain about the commentating on the broadcast, then geek out over footage of dudes screaming "YES SIRRR LET'S GOOO" with a shot from the sidelines

Theyre the same guys who will go to a national level track for practice, complain the entire time about the track and the whole facility.  Then the following week they go to a "private track" that is a 5ft wide dusty goat path thru the trees with a couple skidsteer-built kickers and proclaim it the sickest thing they've ever ridden.

I heard the Star kids are a little wacky. Nice to see them having fun and keeping it lite.

I hope that mechanic with mascara on his face grows out of that phase soon.

Yah I really like the angles  and quality of the video he has been getting.  Just try ignoring the parts of him bro  time if that's what turns You off. The action shots during the moto's are worth it. 

 If You dislike all the drone shots and want some quality up close race footage. Watch his national coverage  .  Quality video and angles that are art.

The video quality , the angles , I personally think it's better than the broadcast stuff. It shows the race in a different way.

 Yah I could complain about a lot of it . But Buttery is not trying to be a professional broadcast that is hailed as the path to mainstream meca . He's filming Vlogs for an audience he knows well. And it's likely not the people that are posting about how they hate it. 

Are there parts I could do without, sure. But are there  are also great camera angles and  composition of the shots, great color and generally higher quality footage. It feels closer up and more like I'm there. VS the regular race coverage.   

For me, it gave more of the feeling of being at the race. And watching the race  at the race.  That's why I like his stuff from nationals.  

 I'm not saying that I would want  all of the race coverage to be shot and edited like Buttery.  But I do like that his videos are available as another way to see more race footage. I would like a mix of some close up shots like his with the drones and wide shots that make up the broadcast. 

 I look at Buttery's videos as art,  and I'm not viewing them the same as I would view race coverage by a network.  Totally different things that I like for different reasons.
