I have my farm, a sawmill , a wood shop,and canoe for paddling white water thru nolichucky gorge, ,

I get my adrenaline from white water,and cutting dead ash trees for folks, ash beetles killed em all

Spent last 2 yrs helping few rebuild,clean up after Helene.

ME....I got some great videos of Tennessee and the Helene damage that hillbilly sent me.

The history of this area in terms of revolutionary war is fascinating.

The land across river in video is still owned by descendants of man built this fort house

The " over mountain men" who gathered at sycamore shoals ,a fort in Elizabethton ,and marched to King's mountain in SC is a huge turning point in war.

Major Ferguson in 1780 set word over here that he was gonna burn pillage rape the country side if didn't lay arms.

1000 men marched 300 miles , had to been most men here.

Major Ferguson is still there, LoL, buried on King's mountain.

The oldest son of earnest fought in battle

John Crockett fought , his son Davy born 6 years later 2 miles up river.  There was a museum and his log cabin before flood, all gone now .

John Sevier lived 4 miles up river when governor of Tennessee, Knoxville was capital then , he is buried in court yard.

Sevier was bad ass, governor Tennessee twice, 1st and 3rd. Governor of state of Franklin,which is fascinating story itself.  Greeneville was it's capital.

Greene county and Greenville ( county I live in) ,is named after Nathaniel Greene, the badass that sent British out of Carolinas and never came back .

All kinds history like that here.
