Matthes Observations on Reed
Here’s another tidbit in regards to the first turn: one of the guys who hit the ground there was Chad Reed, and he rides a Honda in case you didn’t realize it. Well if you watch the video, Reed was trapped under his bike for a little while before one of the track workers helped him up. What’s so unusual about that? Because each OEM is allowed to have two representatives in the first turn and the Honda guys were watching their riders (Trey Canard and Kevin Windham) sprint away at the front of the field while a guy who was actually the highest placing Honda guy in the points laid there under his bike. Needless to say Team Two-Two manager Dave Osterman was not happy about this and is lobbying to try and get a first turn pass for someone who will be dedicated to helping Reed get up.

Glad to hear Ozzy is trying to do something about this.
If they wont let Reed have a guy in the first turn,he should do like McGrath was going to do and sit out opening ceremonies.
Or something like that....til they give in.

Sorry if that's a stupid question, I just haven't heard about that so I don't know what the exact rules are there.
The Shop
Free shipping: VITALMX
Luxon 4-Post Bar Mounts
$189.95 - $239.95
DeCal Works Huge Plastic Inventory of UFO and Polisport kits.
For example, that's Yamaha's Dan Rambert working to get James Stewart's bike off of him (and Reed's bike) in the first turn. Reed has help on the way...though a little late.
My memories are a little foggy.....
But I believe back when Brooks was team manager for MC,they told him he couldn't stand there.
I believe he told them MC was not going to do opening ceremonies anymore if he couldn't stand there.
I believe they gave in and let him stand there after that.
I was really just asking to confirm if I had the right idea there.
*N/M - question answered, haha. Thanks guys
who picks up the privateer bikes?
Pit Row
I know there are currently some "track marshall" kind of guys that are at different spots on the track to help riders and they are not affliated with the OEM's.
Everyone gets a first turn guy or no one gets a first turn guy.
Then he would be allowed to have 2 guys standing there.....just for him.
The rule is sorta jacked.
