Nice words from Herlings to Coenen. 

I rode there a few years ago and if you'd told me then that it would be good enough to host another MXGP round in 2026 I'd have told you to stop drinking. So with that in mind, I think the track crew did a great job. Still, I would've liked to have seen the track open a bit more and encourage more racing, and I think those hills are pretty sketchy on modern bikes with the speeds they go now. Didn't produce the best racing ever, but wasn't bad by any means. All in all, I'd call it a success 

Multiple riders mentioned the Coenens in interviews today and said how tough they are and they feel bad for them, even Herlings. Kinda wholesome. They earned respect from everyone going to the US this year, that's for sure.

For a place that hasnt seen rain in months, it was bang on, no slop as such and only minimal dust at the end. 

Ben Watson said that he felt there was too much bark in it, but without that you would never have kept ant moisture in it. 

They did a lot of work, and it showed, new lease of life for the place IMO, already confirmed for next year , apparently. 

It wasnt mad busy saturday but very bust today , took 10 mins to get out of General camping, traffic management was as good as it can be there, with decent one way system, everyone arrives over 3 days and leaves at the same time, so its always gonna be chaos. 

Being their as a fan, rather than working , it was decent, no queues for tickets over our side , and security were pleasant and helpful, rather than overbearing and rude which it has been at the last few GP's 

Racing was great, crowd got into it , and it was cool as to see the top guys sending it down the big hills. 

Special praise for Ben Watson for going back to Calvin Vlaanderen to lift his bike off him, when he was trapped in the opening lap crash. Huge applause from our side of the valley. 

Herlings is back in it, and i think there is more to Coenens 'issues' than just a leg injury.  He looked 'off' all weekend , even before his crash. i guess we will see.

If you didnt go, you missed a great weekend.

Guys I was at spring creek and haven’t caught any TV time yet. What exactly happened to Lucas this weekend?

Mixed for me. Layout and terrain seems great. Having deep soil that creates deep, very hard, ruts on the straits would be one of my least favorite preps. Kind of reminds me of some of Lakewood preps a few years ago. Trying to make naturally hard soil soft rarely works well. It can be done over a long period, meaning years. I’m fine with natural hard packed tracks. This looked ugly to me during qualis. First motos today seemed better? I have not watched second. Did appear to be a good crowd, that’s a plus. 

I really liked the track from following it through tv. It was oldschool, and I am old. I even liked Montevarchi for the same reasons. I can understand the use of woodchip, but I do hate the ruts it creates. It’s an art to ride quick through deep choppy ruts but it doesn’t promoto creativity with lines, which I often miss. I think Foxhill is spectacular and demands respect. Very exciting to watch everything from 125 to 450 factorybikes race on a iconic track. Best GP of the year for me!

 I was trying to gauge how many people was there, but couldn't even hazard to guess, but it seemed a great turnout and overall a great day

From where I saw (mainly both sides the valley vand around the up hill jump.) track looked very well prepped, I didnt go over to the hills.

Have to be honest, I prefer matterly, mainly because you can pretty much see all of the track from the rite position, where as foxhills, I found to be missing a fair bit of action and loosing track of the race 

I think alternating both venues, would be a good shout 

Then (if he does not win the 2026 ”450” MXGP championship), Lucas may race 250 in 2027SX, good for him!

I say there is zero chance we see that guy on a 250 again. Have you seen the size of that fella? Also Prado looked pretty good in his first ever SX races two years ago with basically no prep time at all. I'd rate Lucas slightly more skilled. Doing selected 450 SX rounds and then putting the focus on outdoors is what I would like to see for the first year. Doing the full 17 SX schedule with no experience and limited prep would obviously be crazy.

That would be ideal, and rotate in the British championship too. Also keep the British Grand Prix in the same period. Thinking about the last weekend from June to the mid August. Because, if the weather plays ball, you have two amazing facilities.

I liked the track, the last moto we saw the "real" underground coming back up, if they flat the track now and it can get some more racing on it it will be even better next year I guess. Personally I would've flattened the track a bit more on the faces of the jump, some (insides) corners... So maybe next year get two or three extra small bobcats ready to do it between the races. But really I think this was one of the nicest tracks of the season. But I'm a old skool fan, I was also a fan of Montevarchi but that track needs to be cleaned up. It doesn't look nice if a old wire fence is splitting lanes and stuff.

I think no SX races at all in 2027. Just practice SX and prep for the nationals. Then do the SMX playoffs and WSX rounds in the fall. KTM may not like that idea, but they should do it.
