Different rules in AMA v FIM?

I think in the world championship: if a mechanic had picked up the bike and bashed the clutch back in position like Deegans did - the rider would be disqualified.

Not so in America?

It’s allowed in the first turn, all the mechanics usually stand over at the first turn incase their rider goes down. Check out the mechanics going to their riders at hangtowns 250 moto 2 first turn crash

I thought you were talking about them helping Jett get the bike off him?

Different series, different rules, in AMA, crew members can only assist from start to holeshot line on first lap, officials can assist anywhere on the track...

In FIM, crew members cannot assist, only officials anywhere on the track...

Perfect- thanks

Also seems fair an official can lift a bike off someone without penalty.
