He said in a few of his interviews that his parents had zero moto background and they all learned as they went. He’s also commented that his mom pushed him early on when he didn’t want to do it anymore but the desire to not let his parents sacrifices go to waste motivated him as he progressed.

It’s actually a pretty fascinating story but there’s so much dislike for RC now from his announcing gig that it reflects on people’s opinions of his career. I think it’s a shame how it’s starting to overshadow his racing legacy which is truly incredible.

Oh…he said per him selfishly he would like to think he would be if she wasn’t part of the program. He also had other people that helped him as well.

I was a little surprised RC said that as well. Even if he thinks that…you gotta show mom some love and say “no way I would be here without her!”

Time for another dose of flea killer, I guess.

Hahahaha! Looks like I got 20. What do I win?

The voting thing doesn’t keep me from sleeping. Based off the board seemefirst seems like a good dude and appreciate what he brings. Viewed it as two dudes just communicating through a message board

I was listening to the latest Winners Take Yall podcast with RC on it. There was a moment when they asked RC about his mom and he would be who he is without her.

I’ve always wondered about her and what her background in moto was. Also what was big Rick’s role compared to hers?

Lastly, did that doc on RC ever come out? Couldn’t find anything

Big Rick always worked as RCs practice mechanic as well as taking care of most all of the track maintainance and equipment maintainance.

Jeanie was more dominant than Rick, but both were in RC's corner throughout his career.

Other than a couple MX schools traveling around the country the parents have always been the driving force….. until all the training facilities that we have now.

Big James also falls into the same category with great success. Maybe there is some greatness in the water in that part of Florida?
