Monster signed a contract with the big 12 conference to sponsor their regular season football and basketball games. Hopefully they aren't changing their marketing strategy and going more mainstream, rather just adding to it and they'll keep pumping money into moto as well.

IRVING, Texas (July 7, 2026) — The Big 12 Conference today announced a new, multi-year agreement with Monster Energy, naming the global beverage brand the Entitlement Partner of Big 12 Football and Big 12 Basketball regular seasons.

During the regular season, Big 12 football and men’s and women’s basketball will be branded as Monster Energy Big 12 Football and Monster Energy Big 12 Basketball for all Conference controlled assets and platforms. A co-branded Monster Energy and Big 12 Conference logo will be featured on football and basketball jerseys, fields and courts, with additional integration across Conference digital and social media channels.

The first-of-its-kind partnership is built on the right brand and cultural alignment, with Monster Energy’s drive, edge and ambition mirroring the Big 12 Conference and its student athletes. It also brings together the two organizations’ global ambitions and commitment to enhancing fan engagement.

“This is an important partnership for the Big 12 as we continue to grow our commercial business,” said Big 12 Commissioner Brett Yormark. “Monster Energy is a global, culturally relevant brand that aligns with who we are and where we’re going. Together, we will bring the Big 12 to new audiences, expand our reach, and deliver innovative experiences for our fans.”

The agreement builds on an existing relationship between the Big 12 and Monster Energy, which began last fall when the brand became the Conference’s Official Energy Drink - its first partnership in college athletics. Monster Energy is also the title partner of the Big 12’s 2026 Football and Basketball Media Days.

“Monster Energy has built its brand on sports and athletes that leave it all out there on the field or the court,” said Mitch Covington, Monster Energy Chief Partnerships Officer. “Partnering with the Big 12 continues that tradition of aligning with great sports teams and organizations committed to excellence. Commissioner Brett Yormark and his teams at the Big 12 Conference are always going to be on the forefront of college athletics and we want to support and be part of it.”

Additional elements will be unveiled throughout the season, including expanded content and activations designed to engage fans year-round.

Monster should sponsor the trade industries before the Big 12.   That is where everything is heading.
These Universities have nicer facilities than the pros, stadiums etc. They receive plenty of funds via ticket sales and donations from Alumni.
I dont sit on the board of directors however. 🤷🏿‍♂️

See a lot of them ME Claws on hard hats. 😎

Millwrights, Tinners, Plumbers, Sparkys, Iron Workers, Sprinkler Fitters, Crane Operators etc.

Fund some money into the training centers that educate these fine young men and women who build everything or build the facilities to make everything.

A high percentage of trades people do or have rode moto.

The radicals would outlaw such a beverage just like they did with beer.

You see those big ass monster M stickers plastered on the back windows of trucks on jobsites everywhere.

Empty monster, redbull cans litter as well.

I'll stick to my coffee.

Trades would be smart, I work in construction and those guys live off monster and red bull. I work in office mostly and it’s all fancy coffee there. Head to a gas station at 6:30 am and I’ll bet almost every person in steel toe is buying energy drink and burrito 😉

Why would they do that when they can sell it for $3.00 a can. Hell, excellent beer is priced at $2.00 a can and I bet it's a lot more expensive to make that than energy drinks.

Just bought a used set of jump (water ) skis. First thing I did was take a big Monster sticker off of them. Such a scam that they get athletes to promote their shit. None of them drink it. I remember seeing Ricky on the podium when he was young and when he took a sip of his drink , you saw RC written on the bottom of the can. Wonder what he was drinking.

Or James drinking from the one that had H2O written on the bottom when he took a drink on the podium.

Why spend money marketing to a saturated market? They already have that market.
