I’ll bet this has never happened before. 3 consecutive fastest laps of race, same time to 1/1000 second. 155.618, twice by Coenen, once by Febvre.IMG 1222 3

Well Herlings has just gifted Coenen the race win & more points.

That starting position he went for, was a bit of a head scratcher, that's for sure.

Maybe he was confident in some sort of HRC Super Boost off the gate / down the straight ?

Anyway - it's just about 10 minutes until Race Day Live - if it's not rained out? - going off all the 'Biblical' talk I see, and some pics .

So I'll watch that, then get some Zeddds, and catch up with the actual Motos around Mid Day tomorrow - then, the GPs!

Those 3 consecutive identical laptimes and Febvre's comment after the race speaks volumes about the track: "Somehow it's not so physical to ride. We finish the race and it feels like we did nothing. Hopefully the track develops for tomorrow to get some more lines."

Well, there you go.

There are tens of thousands of mountains and hills in South Africa, but they chose to put down an amateur track, even though they didn't skimp on the groundworks. It's utter crap. If you're organizing an MXGP World Championship, make sure the tracks are worthy of the World Championship. This one is absolutely subpar. Even the one at Turkey provides better racing. The only thing that makes it demanding is the altitude which affects the engines.

I see it as speaking volumes for the speed / skills and matching of the riders.

De - I'm sure there's some World Cup Soccer you can watch this weekend, instead of Motocross.

Here we go - I've just had Weege blow my ear drums out, so, I'll watch a bit of  of American MX. But fugg me, this intro music is effing idiotic...... Let's just ad Hype to the best sport on earth...... 😁

Love the Gumboots, Katy! - I really do - yah can't beat them when it's wet.

Now, I normally 'Hatez' anything  Kiwi,  because, well, Why Not? But their Red Band Gummies Rule!

Aha, a post where you’re not babbling about 5 different topics at once. Progress!

So from the front on shot of the gate, it looked like the guy driving the tractor had arced in from the outside and left way more hardpacked unripped dirt on that side of the gate, its the kind of stuff people paying attention notice, and it would have worked, if he hadnt had Oliver next to him who took advantage of the same and then didnt hold it on long enough.

It was a brave decision, it didnt work.

Seems like a really really fast privateer bike. Kudos to who ever built the engine(and the ones paying for it)

Farres is riding real good.

Sacha on full send mode landing to flat on the first lap was crazy

Obvious why they're taking risks to make a pass in the opening sections. Two laps in and the top 5 positions are set in stone.

Such a pity that Farres had that gearbox failure a while back. He definitely has brought his A game this year and if he keeps this up he may get the better of Sacha by the end of this year.

Geezuz, I'd like to get involved in this track layout for next year (if SA gets another GP). The guys could have done better, great effort though but the layout can use some adjustments. Its to fast and flowing, not much to separate the riders.

A french company (TMX Conception) is behind this project (and the design of this track)...

I've only just got back from a ride in my Mountains - missed the 250 1st Moto start.

Did 154ks on my Old Beastie, near on all Single Track, out to Lithgow to check on my rental houses. Before that, got up early to watch Red Bud.

Bloody Hell they did a good job on the track after the "Biblical' rain.

Bit tired - I've not done that distance for a while - but heck, can't whinge too much when I can start the bike, be into the Bush in 2 ks, then, do almost  nothing but dirt, with around 8ks all up on the Tar. I'm so bloody lucky to live where I do, and, having ridden through the Mountains for more than 50 years, I know All the trails. I pity people who have to 'Trailer' to got riding.

Sitting, watching the GP, with Farres  leading, and Langenfelder pursuing little Sacha.

A Good Day!

Tomorrow, on the Chopping Block for a bit of Surgery.

Yeah man., it was easy to find their website but I can't read French and I cannot find anything that I understand.

Anyways, I'm looking forward to this first MX1 gate drop.

Yup, their mechanics are looking a bit stressed out.

7/5/2026 3:46am

Herlings tried to chase down Coenen but had a small slideout after a big jump, atleast no big crash or hurt, and kept 2nd place!

Renaux vs Gajser not done yet either lol

Vialle just quit?? He looked ok, the right hand guard was a little out of position. He could have soldiered to the end and got a few points.
