I was just thinking back to the good ol’ days and I remember the dogs talking about how their bikes were all clapped out as they bragged about them.
Let see em boys!
Cylinders, sprockets, handlebars, toasted rings, plastics, whole bikes, anything goes!
Not mine, but pretty cool.:
"At the end of the 1999 season, most of the 1999 bikes were used as practice bikes. This bike was used by Ricky Carmichael, as well as others. When he was done with them, he sold them. The guy I got it from said he had a MC Shop in AZ and that he bought it directly from Carmichael and that Ricky's name was on the title. His son rode it for awhile and when they moved to the DFW Area, put it in a shred on their property (actually outside the shed for many years before). After many years the son needed money to fix his car and put a very poor ad on CraigsList. Basically it said "Kaw 125 Carrmichel" - something like that. One poor picture of it in the shed. I tried for two weeks to get ahold of the guy. The ad disappeared and then went up again with a phone number. I reached the father at ten o'clock in the PM and he told me the story. At 1am the next morning I am in the shed with a flashlight verifying that it was real. I bought it and the father said he had the title somewhere and he would get it to me. Never found it. So, I have a real PC Bike with a story behind it. If it really was one ridden by RC we will never probably know. Scott Sheak said it was one he had, but little else. I need to contact him again since he said he had pictures and posters of it." -RufRedBaron

Fantastic suspension though. Agree about the engine.. very linear, mellow power.
The linear power worked well on the 250. The 125 ,not so much.
I got this RM 125 "cheap". The bottom end seized my first ride, then got a Wiseco crank that seized 1 or 2 rides later, THEN rebuilt the OEM crank and everything else and it ran like a champ forever.
You guys don't know what clapped out is. HaHa
My 2008 CRF250R. Almost 400hrs on the bike. Stock crankshaft. Carb needs rebuilt but it still starts first or second kick every time.
I don’t ride it much at all anymore, mostly just my pit bike, but a few summers ago I tore it down to the frame and cleaned everything.
Unfortunately Scott passed a few years ago.
I love your bike. I had a 73 TM250 from 74 -76. I know the TMs got a bad rap but I loved that bike. Won a lot of races on it.
My 98kx250 was thrown into a campfire and rebuilt by a crew I wont name. Blew the top end in octillio wells rebuilt it and sold, Now that I'm 40 wish i could find it and rebuild it. Guess my deposit on the 327 will half to do.
