Thinking about going to Ernee I have never been to France, Is there hotels near by? Is the track easy to get in and out of?

Been to Ernee in 2023

Staying again this year in fougers it’s about a 20 min drive to the track

You will need a car to get around

Fly into Charles de gualle airport then either a 4-5 hr drive to fougers

Or train fron CDG to Rennes via bullet train and get the car from Rennes to fougers is about 45-1 hr drive this is probably our plan of travel this year

There are hotels in fougers but try looking into apartments as they are cheaper and much more pleasant to,stay.we have a apartment close to,the fougers castle.

Buffalo grill in fougers will have some race teams for dinners.good food as well

Not sure what tickets your looking into but outhouse and food lines are busy all the time for the gen pop ticket holders

VIP  is the way to go

Americans who have camped, how did you go about bringing camping equipment? Is there a cost effective way to get stuff there or do you just bring your tent and all that

Not sure if you’re interested but the Normandy landing beaches are about a 2 hour drive north of the track. You can visit all the allied cemeteries including the American war cemetery and walk on the beaches where it all went down, some great museums too, it’s a very humbling experience. I’ve. “X’ed” where the beaches are.
When I was racing bicycles that’s the area I raced around (Normandy. & Brittany) spent years pedaling around those roads. :-) , it’s amazing countryside and very rural. I’m actually from that little island you can see on the left called Jersey .

If you had the time / transport, you could go South West, to the coast / Saint-Nazaire for the U Boat 'Coorals ' ( to see an example of some of the massive things built by the Bastard N***ies) , then along the Coast, back up to the D Day beaches and Cemeteries - a pretty good trip that gives you a bit of variety. And yes, it Is very Humbling to see where so many fought and died.

I did that loop, but much longer, being further down the coast,  when I went to the St. Jean d' Angely MXDN, in 2011. I had a XTZ1200 Super Tenere that a friend at Yamaha France sorted for me. Got there on the Thursday, hot rodded it down the A1(?), then after,  toured around France  / Belgium /  The Netherlands and Germany for a while. A  great trip!
