You are absolutely right! At the level these guys are at, having the "What If" question in you head can lead to mid-pack finishes. If you have that question in your head at too many races, it might be time to call it a day or career. I know there wasn't anyone else doing the section, but if you wait for a rider that is doing it to find out the "What If" consequences you may find yourself fighting a losing battle. Seeing this picture and thinking about my own child, I have that question in my head all the time.

It's real, I posted the pic here several years ago to.

I've seen a bigger triple at a Aussie SX about 6 years ago 100-110 foot which had a fairly big run up, I think the Anaheim quad was around 95 foot.

RC would have jumped that section without hesitation. I'm surprised that KW didn't jump it.....

Silly. RC did not think twice, he retired so he didn't have to think about it at all. RC did not race SX
at Chad's current age.

Not surprised. It's a 125 two stroke. Best size bike ever made. Just not made anymore. Progress?

Not bad thinking from Reed - come up short on that and your night (or season) might be over....

I didn't see the jump, but if it's anything like this.....

Riding a dirtbike at any level is not smart.

1. James is the only guy who did the quad clean all day. He is and has been the fastest guy his entire career. He is a badass, and probably the naturally fastest guy ever.

2. Chad is a great rider who deserves alot of respect for everything he has done. He isn't as fast as James in terms of raw speed.

How long did RC keep racing after he had kids? He was bad ass in his time and would still be now, no doubt, but he is also smart, he knew what he had to lose if he kept racing, he went out on top, with his health, his reputation as unbeatable forever embedded in MX fans brains and before anyone had a chance to knock him off that pedestal.

Now that is smart, would he have jumped it last week, we'll never know, but while you're throwing out crazy "facts" i know for a fact that Jeff Liesk and Stefan Everts would've jumped it and Pastrana would've flipped it without thinking twice.

Man this online forum stuff is easy.
