Most of us don’t “hate” Trump or disagree with most overarching policies. It’s a lack of clearly defined goals and mismanaged implementations that create concerns.  Immigration reform and corralling Iran’s nuclear program are worthy endeavors tackled in ramshackle fashion. ICE became more of a problem for Trump than a solution, and Iran proved to be problematic.  It’s these ham-fisted approaches that leave us lifelong conservatives shaking our heads.

Let's be clear, many of us ARE conservatives which comes from those wanting to "conserve" the good. You're so bent about the process that you fail to acknowledge we are both conservative. But your sacred "methods" have gotten us into such a quagmire by surrendering our power to the liberal democrats that the things we want to conserve have eroded away. You may not like the heavy hand of action but your sacred methods have lost me many of the things that were good in life. Like the ability to walk the streets in the evening (or even day time) without confrontation. The ability to start a business without a government official walking in every week to inspect some bullshit regulation. So while Trump's methods may be over the top on some issues, your way has proven a disaster. That being said, I wish you'd consider new ways to conserve the things that we grew up with that are good.

Good governance comes with checks and balances. Right now Trump is running unchecked and the damage it’s doing to our democracy will be felt for decades to come.

The only positive is that the lower courts are checking him/DOJ and it’s not just liberal judges, even one Trump appointed.

I'll state the same thing I responded to LL with. you're wanting him to listen to the same old people who's advice got us into this quagmire that failed us. Why should he listen to people advising him the same with worn out thing that got us here. Be different and be bold! Try something new.

IF it's wrong, the country will survive, but if he's right (and you just don't like it), look how far we've come in just a short time. A secure border, government waste is being exposed, fraudsters are being prosecuted, other countries are having to play on a more even field, Europe is taking on more of their own defense. The murder rate is down to unheard of levels. Drug boats are being destroyed. South America is turning conservative because USAID is no longer supporting liberal policies down south with OUR tax dollars. Government employees are getting downsized for the first time. (ever?) Girls are getting to compete with girls again. The winning list is so long and people just want to nit pick and "Orange Man Bad" because he doesn't listen to the people that got us into this mess. Pffft!

First , the post of mine that You quoted  asking me why I hate trump,  I said I do not hate him. I do not hate him.  I think he is a poor leader who is too selfish for being an effective public servant.  That doesn't mean I hate him, or that I automatically endorse  whatever the opposite is of what he's doing.

Let's say this last quoted poster hates Trump. Or maybe they just think he's crazy,   or maybe they hate him because they think he is a sociopathic lunatic?

How does somebody posting that they do not like him mean that they are siding with criminal's? It's not that simple.

Have You tried going and looking up some of what the Democratic leaders have said as far as why they were objecting to those things?  Why do You choose not to take them at their word? and choose to write if off as baseless hate?

Can I ask You if You hate democrats, and that's why You oppose what they want to do?  Or do you oppose their police's because they do not align with Your beliefs of what is right for the country ?

Because they controlled the government for quite some time and did nothing! It's that simple. And now that something IS being done, their only way out is to claim "it's the way you're doing it". Bullshit, they did nothing and if they had a way to deal with it, they didn't. So they can just sit this one out.

You really need to separate posters here from democratic leaders. Nearly all of us say we don’t like the current dem party.

Fuck we need a third party in the worse way.

Democrats don't like police so there is that. Their ide is to defund police. But seriously, their policies are shit. I did actually put up campaign posters in my yard for a democrat that I thought had good values and would influence the machine with those values. But their leadership is causing them to destroy our way of life. Plain and simple. I don't need full on men in the locker room with my daughter, I not only don't need it I don't want it, and neither does she. I don't want a good portion of my tax dollars to house illegal immigrants while veterans are in need of a LOT of help. I feel bad for people in other countries but until we solve our own problems to a reasonable degree, only then we can focus on bringing in the needy. There are however some places that are killing of segments of their population that do need immediate attention to which we adjust, however, the exception NEVER makes for a good rule.

Really? The previous administration was doling out billions of our tax $$$$s to their friends under the guise of grants. Those grants then got fed back to the Democrat machine to keep getting them elected. Hey Stacey, where did you get all that money from? Your nonprofit did what less than a thousand dollars before that grant? Hmmm, sounds pretty legit to me.

NO equivalence.

The Democrat Monopoly is Running Big City America into the shitter.

Even Matt’s beloved San Jose, from downtown to the hills of the south valley straight down the Almaden Expressway…homelessness and big city stupidity. All the while they, the Dem’s, try to convince us that everything is fine and all they need is more money. Uh, sure.

How do I know this? Born and raised…3 gens of San Jose/Santa Clara County…hell, lived there when it had a “defense industry”. Was recently offered a nice gig in the hills of Los Altos…helllllll no. I’m still in the Bay Area…a lot, these days…it ain’t what it once was and we KNOW who ran it into the ground…as in who -precisely- has run things “on the bay” all these years. Hell, a former…THE former mayor of San Francisco is who the Matt’s of the world made governor.

NYC, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Portland, Seattle…etc., etc., etc. All the same story. Look at the “Democrat Socialist” come Leninist that NYC elected. You don’t have to make that shit up.

In the interest of diversity, let’s add Sacramento, Austin, San Diego, Vegas…just drive around these cities…you’ll see. Oh, almost forgot…the crown jewel of California Democrats: Oakland. Hmmmm…remember? The one time home of…

The Golden State Warriors

The Raiders

The A’s

No worries. We can see the demographic change. It’s a continuing and evolving story. Look at how many of us are cashing out of California. You see, we’re not gonna pay for the $200+ Billion “Train to Nowhere”…or the continuous Homeless Industry Expansion or the ongoing Rainbow Flag Insanity in our schools and sports leagues.

Geeeezus…even the Giants players are “over it”…you know…the SF Giants? Your last remaining MLB team in the North State…?

So…

In the meantime, I’ll keep my place “down at the beach”, since you guys haven’t fully wrecked The OC, yet…And I’ll take all my retirement, corporate, real state and other income with me.

Hey, Matt? It’s all yours. Good luck with that. See you in 20 years.

M’kay?

The problem here is you think everything done by republicans is above board.

Ok let’s me say this so you and everyone understand, if anyone takes tax payers money and gives it to the donors or friends should be prosecuted it doesn’t matter if it democracy’s or republicans. Also it doesn’t matter what someone else did in the past, that doesn’t justify ripping people off now.   You can’t justify Trump stealing now!  It’s also in numbers never seen in US entire history put together.   I’ll say this also if Obama, Biden or anyone one else was in the Epstein files and did something criminal they should be prosecuted!      That goes for anybody including all republicans and Trump.

There was a discussion and commentary on what Democrats have/don’t have a monopoly on. I reflected and posted from my own experience and I took into consideration who posts what in regards to that.

Meanwhile, and this is obvious, I’ve seen some of the most ridiculously false and outright ignorant insanity posted about “the subject matter”.

People drag all sorts of stupid shit into all these threads: from their hate for Israel to their support for the craziness befalling the democrat party in the guise of Leninism and let’s not forget the obvious serious cases of TDS.

But, I digress. Y’all can have at it. As you’ve probably noticed, we’ve got some 8-12 Rainbow Flag Waving Pronoun Obsessed Leftist in here that are too nutty to worry about; so, I’ve been leaving them to their own devices…not unlike my point made about letting them have at it in Big City America.

Like Pavlov’s dog…

TM

Sorry I had written police's and meant policies . Looks like you got what I meant.

But Do You see what I mean? You dislike the Democrat policies that You feel like are wrong for the country. Why is it so hard to believe that Democrat leaders dislike the way Trump is doing stuff or his policies on other things?  and are not opposing just out of hate for him personally? It's the same thing. They have a different way of how they would like the country to go that's all. You may dislike democrats who are still for policies You disagree with. But its not the blind hate for them, its their actions right?

To be fair, Democrats have not been for defunding police for a while now, and they did realise the border policy they had wasn't what the majority wanted and they did try to change that a year before Trump was re elected but they couldn't get it to pass because Trump asked republicans to Not support it. So that he could get the credit when he took office. So if it was purely about the security of the border and safety of the country, the Republicans allowed it to continue for a year longer than it needed to.

Israel duped Trump into thinking Iran would be easy. They have been saying the same thing for many many years. His advisors told him it wouldn't be easy .  Trump could have still gone into Iran , and listened to the advisors that told him what would happen and had a plan in place to address it. It still wouldn't have been what I personally would have prefered he did. But  the chance for being successful quicker would have been higher if You were prepared for everything.

This is exactly the problem I’m talking about. Diehards on both sides think their side is above board and their both scum.

I’ll state it again politics in this country is broken. People can’t even talk to eachother. Which is very evident on here when people are so quick to jump down another’s throat at any small mistake or grievance.

We’re so fucking cooked because all we have is a bunch of cheerleaders on either side that represent a small fraction of the population and the majority of us and just left saying, What The Fuck?

It’s so damn short-sighted, death by 1,000 paper cuts.

Isn't it fascinating that people hate Trump soo much they'd rather see criminal illegals on the street than admit it's good for the country to deport them? Or they will side with violent gang members because they hate Trump soo much. It would be great if they actually wanted a better America than just hate Trump. Sure would be nice to come together on some real issues. Sadly the hate dominates their world. Look at how they fought cleaning up Washington DC. They can't even acknowledge that so many black people are getting shot every weekend in Chicago because that would mean getting help from Trump, but "Black Lives Matter" unless they are shot by other black people I guess. So they will let black people get shot and die rather than let Trump help. Mind boggling isn't it? You don't have to support Trump 100% or even 70% to just see that some people would rather support criminals because of the hate in their heart.

TM

Seriously?  You lost rights because of democrats?  Well, TM, that’s on you. I’ve lost zero rights under any White House administration. Why?  Because where you live has a much greater impact than who inhabits 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. Want to walk freely at night?  MOVE!  Don’t like Cali taxes?  MOVE!  Don’t like the color of your neighbor’s house?  MOVE!  But don’t expect DJT to fix things for you. Maybe on a national level some things have improved, but it’s outside your front door matters.
