It would be real interesting if DOJ were to actually file charges to test the "autopen" pardon. And find out who actually gave who orders to create and auto signature the document. It would take years, and for sure John Roberts would find a way to punt it, but it would be very interesting. Since each branch of government operates independently, how can a president of the executive branch pardon someone who violated the legislative branch? Is that not over stepping authority into another branch?

Looks like he's getting a subpoena to appear before congress.

That’s another path to prosecution. Fauci has testified in congress in 2021 and 2024. He denied that NIH funded gain of function research. That’s proven false by all accounts, including his own emails.

So if the pardon is durable, then he is safe from prosecution. But if he appears again and still denies that NIH funded gain of function research, then he’s committed perjury and cannot hide behind the pardon.

We’ll see what happens. But in any case, I’d encourage the liberals on this site to set their political allegiances aside and hope for some answers on this. Fauci duped Trump, then he duped Biden, and every American had a significant part of their life fucked up by this pandemic. This is not a partisan issue.

Fauci is a colossal, lying, narcissistic piece of dogshit that needs to hang in the town square.

That said, I’m sick and tired of all the “special prosecutors,” “congressional hearings,” etc etc with nothing to show for it. Put some damn handcuffs on these assholes and throw them in federal prison already.

Also, by “these assholes,” I mean EVERYONE that has screwed over the American people for profit and/or power. D/R, public/private sector, CEOs, don’t care-fuck them all.

He should be indicted and tried. If it can be proven that he willingly led people to their deaths, then it's premeditated murder on a grand scale. Let the judge decide his fate, the same way any other case would proceed.

Folks, we must maintain law and order, no matter how despicable we may find any given defendant. No cruel or unusual punishment.

My Mom passed away, alone, in a hospital during the lockdown.

I had two Knox co sheriff's physically escort me out of the building when they wouldn't let me spend time with her.

I'll solve the fauci problem, if allowed ten minutes alone with the crook.

My Mom deserved better.

I'm so sorry.

My father died on May 9...2019 in a hospital. Surrounded by his wife, (mom), of 68 years, his 4 children and spouses and a grand child.

I pondered a lot during the lock downs what I would have done if it was just one year later. I can imagine the bitterness you must feel. I'm getting pissed off just thinking about it.

Boo! You are banished to the hinterland for 2 weeks to reflect on this Debbie Downer post. Please stop at the local Ace Hardware and pick up pitch forks for everyone when you return.

My wife got knocked over and fell, hitting the concrete, she broke some bones in her face. One of them being something called the occular floor which supports your eye ball. When this is destroyed, your eye is hanging by the muscle. They would not allow the surgery to fix it. The Covid rules labeled that an "elective surgery". By the time they allowed the surgery to repair it, the eye had stretched the muscle and her eyes would not align. So, after a long wait to see how it stabilized, another surgery was required to adjust the muscle. While the final outcome was better, to this day it is not correct. Go Fauch! You saved us.

Your mom definitely deserved better. The lockdowns were complete bullshit and whoever called the cops on you is a moron.

Hospital security.

I wasn't taking no for an answer.

It was actually pretty crazy how fast real cops showed up. Almost like it wasn't the first time that they had to do it.

It probably wasn't the first time, by a longshot.

The cops had a field day enforcing the lockdown. Out here in CA, they actually arrested a woman who brought her kids to an empty beach. They had no problem violating her 6' personal distancing to do that!

I remember that story.

And remember them burying a skatepark with beach sand.

It would be nice if the 60% of the population who went along with all that happened would at least acknowledge some of it was complete bullshit.

But I guess doing so would also force them in the future to bare the burden of thinking for themselves instead of letting the powers that be do it for them.

To be fair, I stated early on, that I appreciated masks in places that you needed to go. We at that time did not have data that the masks were little help. But as someone who had to wear a mask many years before for many months after my BMT, it did feel less dangerous. And since I didn't have the blood cells required to fight Covid, I was very selective leaving the house and where I went.

It infuriates me to think of all of the families that never got to say goodbye to their loved ones like Joey went through. The evil people that imposed this on everyone never adhered to their own rules. As much as I would love to see Fauci pay for his crimes it will most likely never happen. But I am comforted in knowing that 5 minutes after he closes his eyes for the last time, he will face an eternity of torment and suffering. Evil people never really get away with their crimes.

The skatepark was actually kinda funny, because once the city filled it with sand, the kids just brought out their pit bikes and rode the sand instead of skating.
