He'd beat everyone. Obvious the whoops it handled like garbage. Down the straights Hanny and Tomac had the power. Through the rythems Roczen is the man.

i am a fan of both, but the ktm is much more of a bike.
how did the kxf450's do agains a bike with 100cc less in the gps?

I don't care what anyone says, anyone who rides Supercross on a ktm is at a disadvantage. I still think the stock 350 at the dealership looks like a dual purpose.

In KTM defense they had nobody with a decent knowledge in supercross up until now.

Real bike.....like one with pedals?

He would be under the weight limit without a motor.

The kid is 16, foreign but speaks almost perfect English, charismatic, good looking (says my wife), is crazy fast, and gets invited to Miss Supercross birthday party.

He is living the dream we all wish we could be living.

maybe, but it still won the worlds at a 100cc disadvantage. we are talking about bikes here not the riders.
if your talking riders, take js, rv or cr and they would still be top three right now on the 350. the 450 has way more of an advantage outdoors, and if AC could win all season long on it then the top sx guys can win on it.

I don't think that you can bust KTM balls in the 250 class. Hansen tied for a title once on a Katoom. Granted I haven't seen the race yet, but people get squirrley in the hoopties every now and then. It's just part of it.

I don't know if any of you guys saw a picture of the whoops, but they were absolutely insane. Remember that it's a 16 year old kid that is still new to SX and these were definitely the nastiest stadium style whoops he has ever seen.

Roczen waz rounding the right hander all the way to the outside heading into the whoops in order to get some drive. Hanny and Eli were entering with less speed and pulling away. Ken was wringing that thing to death. But the set up was limiting his speed in the whoops. He would gain time through the rythem sections with his balls and body english. The kid is serious. I hope he stays here where he belongs.

Roczen got yarded every lap by first Hanny then Tomac by about 3-5 bike lengths down the long smooth straight after the over / under. He was slingshotting some of the bowls at mach9 though to keep on pace, not sure if his hair was on fire; but he was. Not sure if those details were mentioned -to lazy to read entire thread. KTM looked underpowered. Roczen looked like he's getting this figured out real quick. Would love to see him Tomac and Barcia in the same coast in SX or outdoors sometime.

Towards the end Roczen was actually faster than Tomac through the whoops. We were right there watching. At the beginning he was losing time but I'd say the last 7 laps he was killing the whoops on the pumpkin.

How about this. I don`t think that KTM`s are there yet, but PC has those bikes dialed to perfection.

Yep I agree.....he was getting pulled going into the first turn every lap....looked like he had wheelspin a few times....but if he was on one of those cheater bikes it would be over.........and I've never seen anyone scrub like him.....that was awesome on the parade lap.....

He had a blank check to race Monster Kawi this year and refuse to even talk to them. He is a Red Bull guy and unless PC switch to RB, you will not see him there...

PC runs big bore kits.

Dont ever compare the Suzukis and the KTM's to what Honda and Kawi run in the lites class. Apples and Oranges.

The kid is just learning SX. The bike is awesome. The kid is awesome. KTM's has a very bright future. They will rule this sport in 5 yrs. the 350 just needs a rider over here and they are set.

The bike is only as good as its rider.

If he was on the Pro Circuit team this year under Mitch, and riding a PC Kawasaki, he would problably be the champ.

Riiiiiiiiiiight. And Bubba crushes the whoops only because of the bike he's on. The same bike that Matthes has a "feeling" isn't great and can't start. This bike-gate stuff is ridiculous.

Ken is racing in his first SX series. You can blame it on the bike, or you can realize that these are the biggest, most technical whoops he's ever raced on.

No one seems to remembers Bubba's first season in the 250F class, crashing his brains out every corner he turned?? His dad storming out of Texas Stadium throwing a temper tantrum because Bubba threw it away three or four times in the main?? That's when Big James was too good to let his son sign with some chump ass second rate satellite team that Mitch had going on. Child star Bubba had to be no where else but the Kawasaki Factory rig, nothing else would do.

In the lites class, who really has a real bike compared to Mitch's PC bikes? Those things are top dogs!

The ktms seem to be underdeveloped on the suspenion side for supercross.

Motocross is proven.

Musquin and Cairoli probably agree.

Just watched the race on speed. Suspension seemed fine... when he got out the main whoop line it was kicking around. However, other bikes PC/Geico did the same even Dungey's looked horrible during the last lap with Canard on him. Motorwise,Tomac passes him on the long sweeper but he also passed Hansen there. PC bike slow? KTM will improve and RG1 will have the suspension solid.
