The sponsors view the lites class, regional, short main series as a full blown title. Hansen will prove who he is tonight. Be it good or bad. I say he takes top 3.

I'm a psychology graduate student, so I completely understand the consequences of riding, or participating in any sport, with a concussion. It's not safe, and it is not too smart! However, last year when I posted numerous threads about the safety of the sport, including track design, and the level of progression 450's have allowed, which consequently have brought on a higher number of injuries... The common response is: "it's a dangerous sport."

So, if people are going to choose to participate in a sport that can severely injure them, or kill them, then what's the difference in letting someone choose to ride with after a concussion?

I'm not trying to change anybody's mind. I realize my thinking is far out there. I just think in a situation like this, with a championship on the line, the decision should be Hanny's to make.

If he gets another concussion tonight he'll have cognitive damage later in life. Research has proven this. If top guys ride with concussions (as JS did last week, Morias the week before, and Rattray the week before) then the rest NEED to in order to keep up. If I have a child, he too will have to ride with concussions to stay in the points... soon all our kids will be riding with concussions to keep up... then, a few decades later we'll have a bunch of retarded x-MXers who'll be begging for your tax dollars via Obamacare. Yes, the world is filled with stupid people, and MXers are on the top of the box!! We're fucking stupid, but it'll be a good race tonight. I don't like the next generation anyway. Fuck it all, eh fellow MXers??? We're already stupid, lets get stupider... !

Hanny just waded hard in the whoops. Being hauled off by the medic crew. Looks like a possible shoulder or arm injury. Hope he's alright
Hmm, it couldn't have happened to a cleaner rider.

Not sure how it is in the NFL, but in rugby and afl. If you have a concussion, and they say its bad enough. Your out for a week or two. Its just not healthy for the brain to be getting smashed around.

Don't really agree with you on it being the riders choice, I missed a rugby grand final because of a concussion, If i had my choice I would of played, but doctor said no.

Because usually after a decent concussion, you should be taking it easy for up to 3 months, to lessen the risk of further damaging your brain
