Vampire Tearoffs: 6D Max goggle tearoff option

  After my 2nd weekend at the track with the new 6D Max goggles, I’m finally starting to get a feel for wearing them with glasses & made it through the whole day happy & fog free. I’m a budget conscious state employee & buying the goggles themselves took some time to save for. Adding $35 packs of 20 tearoffs was almost out of the question when I race two classes & use at least two tearoffs per moto.

  More impressive than the goggles even, were these laminated tearoffs I tried from Tom at Vampire Tearoffs. I’ve had a couple buddies try cheaper alternatives & was always disappointed with the quality. They were thin, distorted my vision, & scratched easily. This was NOT the case with the tearoffs from Vampire Tearoffs.

  I tried both a 4 stack laminate & 7 stack laminate yesterday & was really impressed!  The fit was good, even though these goggles are brand new. The tearoffs covered plenty of the lens & seem to fit snugly enough to keep too much dirt from getting behind the bottom tearoff. Clarity was impressive through the 7 stack, honestly better than a 3 stack of individual tearoffs. I didn’t have any issues pulling more than one tearoff at any point either, something that has been a problem for me in the past. More than once I wiped the outside tearoff clean at the end of a session to use the next moto without issues.

  My roommate also tried a 7 stack of laminates on his 100% Armega goggles & was equally impressed. For someone like him who pulls tearoffs with wild abandon on the starting line but rarely on the actual racetrack, they also sell traditional individual tearoffs that could be the better option.
