We have beaten this dead horse to death in the past, but Pro MX needs a feeder series other than SX Next on full on built 250s.
Having WMX rammed down our throats for girls who can't qualify for the Male dominated 250 class is rather silly. Perhaps 5 of these girls can race, but watching what would be the tail end of the 250 class in their own race is not cutting it.
A 125 feeder class for actual fast kids would grow the sport.
This might be a doozy, but expand the race weekend to Friday ala Thunder Valley.
Offer Friday tickets for the promoter to make more money. Expand camping opportunities from Thursday and give the series another day to host more races on Friday. More income for MX Sports and the promoters.
Friday qualify and Race one 125 Moto and the 'Inevitable EV Class'.
Second 125 race at halftime on Saturday to give the kids the feel of real Pro National Track conditions and a crowd.
A 2 stroke feeder class is working for the Europeans.
agree, and quite a bit cheaper to be competitive..
the logical path would be to expand the futures class into outdoors instead of the 'combines'
run a pro am 250 class under amatuer rules (this wouldnt exclude existing pros and allows younger riders)
half the rounds run wmx and other half run the pro am class.
as to a friday race, most tracks have amatuer events that coincide and for a few years some tracks did feature a 125 two stroke exhibition i think up till 2019. it was fun, and a few ex pros turned out like villopoto and it made a great race but there other priorities
I agree, but keep WMX.
100% agree….Might as well make it a 150 class, thats what most would run anyway….
