I don't recall any predictions about him winning at SX just curiosity as it was a case of going into something new.The boy is fast, stylish and SIX fuckin Teen!!
I think you'll find Roczen will crash less from now on anyway.
Tomac passed Roczen WHEN HE WAS ON THE GROUND, not a straight up maneuver. And using your logic, how can you judge Tomac on one supercross race, when you can't judge Roczen on the MXdN??? Get your story straight.
Tomac is a very good rider, don't get me wrong, I have a lot of respect for the kid.
Roczen had the 2nd fastest laptime in the lites, which would've placed him 4th in the SX class. Up until a few months ago, Roczen hadn't seen a supercross track, so a few crashes were to be expected.
And Roczen would smoke the outdoors if he raced it, hence when at the MXdN he smoked Canard and most of the guys on 450s.

That was the point. He is always on the ground. He may have the fastest lap time but he is riding over his head then hits the ground, that doesn't mean much in my book. Winning the race or the Championship is what counts, anyone can hold the throttle wide open until they crash.
Make your mind up dude,do you want a bigger shovel?
Actually why don't you turn up at the next race and hold it wide open then you can go as fast as Roczen and maybe you'll qualify too if its that easy? Retard
It seem the Euros are getting upset because none of their guys can ride SX very well and they are not able to win a MXON. That is because America dominates in the sport. Sorry, that is just the way it. America does not dominate in soccer or motoGP, as an American I can accept that but the Euros still think they have competitive riders, and we haven't seen to many race over here. Embrace it, American motocross and supercross is the standard and the "world championship" working for FIM means very little. Caroli may be a world champ in FIM but he is 4rd or 5 place rider over here.
I have a way with people.
No Euro than I can recalling said he'd dominate, no one with any sense at all did for that matter,if you thought he'd podium thats fine, just as you don't rate him outdoors yet although he came and did great outdoors but your crystal ball was already wrong as far as your SX predictions went
The Euros that come do fine, just as good as any AMA rider would if they gave the GPs a go,if you think Carol would be 4th or 5th in the Nationals then good for you "Cluelessmucho"
Roczen is an awesome prospect,as everyone seems to agree but if you can't handle it then its your problem.Us Euros never would deny Stewarts awesome skills when he first hit the scene if you want to play it that way so don't back track and twist your views and stop sounding like a hater
Sorry P and thanks redrider111 but I've had enough now thankfully and give up,this has dumgeon written all over it
You can see sometimes he doesn't that instinct that other have for blockpass or you expect him to pull the trigger but he doesn't go for it.
All this will be very good for next year.

Didn't Pourcel win the last two East Coast supercross championships?
Supercross is not as important as motocross anyway ( to me at least)
Europe do not race the MXDN .... that is why they don't win. USA winning the MXDN does not mean they beat Europe or prove the Americans are better than Europeans... or the AMA series is better than the GPs. ( which for some resson is what Americans deduce from that race, whether they win or lose individually) It is a team race for individual countries, and the USA are the best country with the most riders to choose from.. but Europeans v Americans would be a different race with a more varied different outcome.
Racing the World Championship for an American is totally different from racing the US nationals.. with home country advantage or the MXDN...were they race as a team against smaller countries. US guys are not so keen to race the individual World Championship though.. where they would have no advantage anymore...
Individually I believe the US riders and "europeans" as Americans see them are just as good and if they all raced in a neutral series like the World Championship where no rider had constant home country advantage and where there are a wide variety of tracks, it would be hard to choose a winner... since they are all a similar level of speed regardless of nationality.
Interestingly looking at the top five from the American and World series least year... there are 11 "Europeans" ( since you don't seem to recognise countries in that continent), Five North Americans, A South African, New Zealander and Aussie (and both BT and Tyla came from the inferior GPs too and ran at the front in the USA)
Yes, and came from a 5 sec deficit to catch Roczen. When Rozcen crashed, Eli almost ran over him he was so close.
Everyone makes a big deal about Roczen yet we have rookies here that are just as fast or faster, Hansen and Tickle got by both of them.
In this thread everyone is saying, I never said he would dominate in SX but people have in past threads. But some people said in this thread Roczen would.
2stroke Barret said "there were a hell of a lot of americans saying he was going to win everything in sight.
look through some of the old roczen threads"
I agree with that statement cause that is what I read. Now Roczen gets over here and there is a big tado about it and many posters on vital said he was hot stuff and how he would dominate without even seeing him race SX, and races with our Rookies so lets look at the point standings.
1 100 Joshua Hansen Elbert, CO,
2 20 Broc Tickle Holly, MI, USA 87
3 71 Ryan Morais Murrieta, CA, USA 70
4 19 Eli Tomac Cortez, CO, USA 69
5 36 Cole Seely Corona, CA, USA 60
6 28 Tyla Rattray Wildomar, CA, USA 58
7 194 Ken Roczen Mattstedt, Germany 49
8 23 Martin Davalos Cairo, GA, USA 45
So my point is, everyone is making a big stink about the kid, thats fine but in reality a no name rookie who also has not raced AMA SX is 20 points ahead, but there is no big stink about that, because it happens here all the time here and he is American. I think Eli did a great job, he has beaten Roczen in every race and leads him by 20 points!. No one said Eli would be a top runner, but he is. Props to Eli. Roczen seems to be a good guy, seems to have the speed but he is not as fast as our fast rookies. Good job Eli
Im not saying this because I think the sun shines out of Roczen's ass, Im taking these issues up with you because you clearly dont understand whats going on.
But you don't see on this board how Eli could go over to Euro and dominate, be a top contender, how great he is or how well he would do over in Europe would you? No
Wait, I said I wasn't going to communicate with you because you cannot hold an adult conversation without personal attacks. Sorry about that.
You're wrong about the claims us 'Euros' were apparently suggesting before Roczen came over, you're wrong about what he is or isnt capable of doing outdoors, you don't seem to be taking into account any of the factors that have contributed to his slightly erratic start to the series and instead, choose to ignore the obvious fact that he is fast enough to win.
I have seen both riders race in person and I rate Tomac really really high... higher than Barcia, but Roczen is special and nationality has nothing to do with it... he isn't even riding at his full potential yet in SX, if you look at his performances and speed in the GPs and the MXDN... at fifteen and sixteen.. he is a really special talent. Both Barcia and Tomac were schoolboys at that age.
And yes, If Tomac raced GPs he would be a top five contender who could win races imo the guy is fast and smart... and that is the only true barometer there is every other series has an advantage toward the home countries rider.
Also, why does it seem like ppl pretend like Eli, the man in front of Roczen, isnt that big of a deal when comparing him to EUROPES WONDERCHILD AND FUTURE KEN ROCZEEEN!!!!(irony) He must be, I mean he left his first ever pro race as the points leader, and now when comparing him to Ken you pretend like hes actually no biggie making Ken look even worse. And 7th in points for the 16 year old who has only finished 75% of the mains and crashed in each main, still people bash him and say hes not good. Now what where Barcia and Tomac doing 2 years ago when they were 16?
Sry for my rant, Im just sick of all the bashing of everyone not doing as the "practice track rumors" told they would.
Im impressed by everyone, Im cheering for Roczen though.
