Hi,
I have the kx 450 2024 with the airbox thing removed.
I want to find something like a 350 map with good bottom end.
Riding keefers map for motos gets e struggling with armpump. I want to keep the bottom power from keefers map but with a smooth power delivery.
Anoyone tried out something good?
Im also curios how the soft std map (with the blue light) looks on the mapping table. Maybe i want something in between that map and keefers map with good low end power.
Any tips?
A 450 is not a 350 and hard to make one be one from what little I know. With the plug left in my 450 KX it was still a 450 KX. I dumbed mine down by adding a 10 OZ Sheahly flywheel. I’m not a 450 guy, mine dumbed down or not it’s still too much for me. I doubt many 450’s will be in my future lol.
I've found that the parameters within the stock ECU that can be changed are barely noticeable, especially on the 2024 KX450. I also have a 2025 YZ450F, and the engine character can be significantly altered using Yamaha's Power Tuner app, so I don't think it is only because I am not sensitive to mapping changes. I have several other 450s and the KX is by far the smoothest and easiest to ride, even compared to my Beta 450. With the airbox opened up (I have a 3D printed filter cage without backfire screen and "gen 2" air filter) and the stock exhaust, the bike has snappy enough throttle response with extremely smooth, linear acceleration. IMO, you're not going to achieve what you're looking for with the Rideology app alone, or whatever it's called. I know this is not helpful for your current situation, but a Vortex ECU with custom mapping from TD or XPR is probably the only way to get closer to what you desire.
I have a '24 KX450 and a '23 MC350F... The 450 will never be a 350 or anything like it.
Go with the Keefer map and the stock gearing.

If you want to mellow the torque at initial throttle opening and low RPM, you can back off (reduce) the ignition timing in that range through the KX Rideology app. You can also play with fuel delivery in that low RPM.
The image below is Keefer's 2025 and 2026 map... You don't get as much adjustment range on the 2024 ECU, but I needed the photo...
