Wifes dad , big train guy...

Bought and sold Locomotive cars...

With a tripod and a monstrous Video camera powered by basically a car battery shot video of trains chugging up famous passes out west.

" Howard Fog ,  collector  ta boot "...

Wife sold all the art work couple  grand a shot...

LGB scale cars too...

Train set , board that sprawled the basement donated to a rail museum in Greenbay Wis.

But yeah she was in West Chicago for the Big Boy to Chug off last week

Tears in her eyes....

Your right ...

I can remember a steamer at a Theme park and the ashes / cinders would be raining down on everything and stinging your eyes lol

With all these steam engines being refurbished it would put a big ol' smile on my grandpa's face. He was a roundhouse hostler for about 40-45 years on the Wheeling and Lake Erie railroad way back when in Canton, Ohio and he hated diesel locomotives. 

 

Here's a couple videos on how they moved the 4014 from the LA Fairgrounds (where it was on static display) to Cheyenne WY for the refurb.
