Its sad to say that if it was really named for that reason that many Republicans would dislike it for that reason alone. I had hoped the bond of Moto was stronger than the division that politics brings, but I was sadly surprised by the same arguments going on here as the real world with many not even trying to hear the opposing viewpoints, and trolling people who asked legit questions about what is going on.
I'm glad that unlike the real world, the political divide doesn't cross over as much into the Moto category with people often agreeing on moto topics that are at total opposite ends of the political discussions. I was hoping that the common ground of a love for moto may help more people be open to being wrong ,and learning in the topics that have political subject. I know I've learned stuff, and that was what I set out to do. I came into the conversations wanting to learn , not be right. But I too slipped into the petty arguments that always end up happening when people talk politics.
I've seen friends not like stuff they were really into before their party said that wasn't good. And I think that's the dumbest thing I've seen smart people do. I'm surprised more people don't see how messed up that is. Bud Light sponsors 1 person that I don't really even know the story on. And all of a sudden the loyal drinkers stopped drinking it and it was the official gay or trans or whatever the issue was beer. Totally throwing away the history of a company . Over a single sponsorship. I think that's crazy.
But what's even crazier is so many people NOT caring about sexual assaults and taking the time to learn the story before writing them off as fake. Now I'm sure there are false accusations that happen, but it can't be 100% of them just because a person is well known. No matter if its one or 100 allegations, hearing the side of the person making the allegation as well as the opinions of the law enforcement who investigate it should matter when forming an opinion. I hope that whoever is considering voting in the district somebody running is that has accusations takes the time to learn about them before considering voting for them.
Just the fact that candidates that have so many disqualifying things are able to be elected should be a wake up call to the other party and candidates in those districts. What is Your party doing or not doing thats so bad more people want the person with all the baggage over the person without it?
So many people that research the crap out of their next purchase of socks, or really anything. Will sometimes quickly form opinions with not even half the info. More research done on a purchase that will impact only You, than what is done to choose who You elect to run the country. And make decisions that will impact generations of Americans. I hope that everybody can agree how crazy that is.
