Reeds wins counted just like RV's do. All wins count. . But sooner or later you have to prove you can beat Stewart. Reed has spent 8 yrs getting his ass handed to him. RV can become Reed if Stewart owns him man on man. Sooner or later you have to win a race on your own. Reed proved that when he did not go to war and race Stewart in 08.
Even though Stewart is on the ground alot he should have 3 titles under his belt instead of 2. The AMA fucked that kid over when they gave the 06 SX title to RC. Maybe the biggest bullshit move in the history of the sport.
Stewart thinks so and even Reed who hates Stewart said he considers Stewart the 06 SX champ. RC knows he got a gift. There's no doubt about it.
A straight up pass is a pass without a crash, a major mistake, or a bike problem.

Pit Row
Like you said, he's not used to being pressured. Stop and think about it. His entire life he has known that he has more skill wise than his competition (with the exception of some SX races with RC, and racing outdoors with RC). Does anybody remember last year when Stewart and Reed were tweeting each other, on whether or not they would be running with Dungey, Villopoto??? In the post race interview with James at A1, he stated he thought he had a shot at winning the race, despite the bad start. When has this guy ever not sliced through the pack and to the front? I think A1 was a slight slap in the face as to how fast the guys are actually racing this year.
In Pheonix, he obviously won, but he also admitted to struggling bad in practice and the heat races. And last week, in a post race interview with Jim Holly, he mentioned how "those guys were catching me. I was riding like a girl." I said it with a completely disgusted look on his face. This is a huge rock to his psyche, and to see how he handles this new challenge, is fascinating to me, especially considering his history of being "pressure sensitive." The guy has a history of being sensitive to pressure, even when he is by far the fastest dude on the track; so imagine the overwhelming pressure he probably feels not running the fastest laps in the mains or qualifying! He may be riding calmer now than ever, but people don't change over night, old habits are hard to break, and even though he may be riding calm on the outside doesn't mean he no longer feels calm under the helmet.
I think he's really worried this season but trying his hardest to stay tuff. The expression he had on his face last week reminded me of the way Reed looked after Jacksonville, '09.
There is a huge psychological /momentum war going on in the beginning of tonight's race will be a huge battle. If RV reels in and beats James, it's going to weight heavy on his mind.
This time with Reed he spine out and then he didn't back off and run into Reed but ...
@Hank_Thrill where is the calm and patient James Stewart??
If you can respond yes, your opinion is no longer needed.
Then if you have a little bit brains in your head know that this will end up like that!
Then Jason even comes a little short and so they end up on each other but otherwise they would hit each other too because he was closing to fast... Trippling against dubbling ... I mean is he stupid??
Watch that movie good an without and open mind and realize that even if Jason Thomas didn't came short they would hit each other. There was a gap between Jason Thomas and Alessi why didn't he jump to that gap... Now he was disaster in the making and are you already forgotten that he did the same thing last year scrubbing on someone. He always think he is alone on the track.
PS: I will gave my opinion as long as I want bwhahah.
The best racers ever where then one that could go to a team/brand and make that team/brand better because the know how to fine tune there bike. I don't see that in Stewart. He can ride fast with a bike but it is a fact that he is mental weak. I mean look at how his father treats him. Its like the amateur days! Every fucking time he is under pressure or he can make up some points and put Villo under pressure there goes something wrong!
But don't mind my opinion. He is insane and creepy fast but he is making so much folds and look at him in the whoops on Kawi and on Yami. It seems like two different guys. He was so stable in the whoops on Kawi and was the fastest men in the whoops without doubt now he isn't that stable anymore and Reed, Villopoto, Canard catch up his speed... Just my 2 cent!
PS: Remember Reed always wining about his Yami that it wasn't stable and stuff. Stewart have to deal with it now because Money was more important then taking championships. I mean only SX and stuff!
"You don't have to be the fastest, just the smartest."
He even admits, over and over again, he is not the fastest.
