Been a rough start to the TT.
Takes no prisoners, makes motocross look safe.
TT is the greatest race in the world and whoever downvoted this can suck it.
First superbike race finished a little while ago, 6 laps on a superbike around that place looks seriously hard work.
The weather looks dodgy for the rest of the week so we will have to see what happens.
Harrison looked phenomenal today. Also his 135mph lap in practice vs everyone else running a 131 was impressive. I’m hoping Dunlop grabs another win or two this week if the weather cooperates. Surely he gets one on the Paton.

Yeah my money is on Dunlop for the supersport as well as sport bike, he is incredible in that class.
Harrison should be good on his supersport as he rides it at BSB and has got a podium but I just don’t think it has the legs to go with a v2.
He was well quicker in the super sport so should be in there ,
The sidecar crashes were pretty bad . Be interesting if they are back next year
I hope they will be, the Crowe brothers had dodgy aero that flipped them upside like the famous Mercedes at lemans so hopefully they just put some aero regulations in.
Also Mitch Rees looks good for his only his second time there.
If any of you want some behind the scenes stuff, this in my opinion is the best motorbike Channel on YouTube. They are running a superbike, stocker and supersport at this years TT. They ran in 6th place for most of the opening superbike race.
There is years of great stuff including running a superbike for a season in bsb.
IoM is a bucket list event. Anyone here attended? I’m in the US and evaluating options.

😥
Yeah it seems the rumours were true, bad news.
As for going im going next year but I know someone who lives on the island which makes it very easy.
All I can say is book very early, and don’t overlook the Manx later in the year either. It runs with the classic TT which is a really cool event.
It’s definitely on my bucket list. Sadly, it seems to get more expensive every year. I’m in my 30’s now and am hoping to go at some point in my lifetime. I’m just hoping it doesn’t get banned before I have the opportunity to. I know it is a huge money maker for the island but there’s always people trying to stop this event.
Sort of went to the Manx GP last August. Spent three days on the island. Just hung out the first day. On the second day we rented bikes and rode the course three times, stopping to check out all the landmarks and sights along the way. Our third day there was the first day of practice so we rode out to the Ballaugh Bridge and spent the day there spectating with some locals we met. Can't wait to go back. Great place, people and race.
Forgot to add, I'm hoping for the best for Maria. It's unbelievable how fast the racers are going around that course.
i know Mitch and his family quite well, they are very good poeple, his old man is still very handy on a 1000cc bike as well,
he was a top 10 level mxer here before he changed over to road racing in his mid 20's
Awful news.💔
You can count me in on the bucket list too.....

UPDATE | Shaun Parker – Sidecar #28
We're so pleased to share that Shaun has posted his own updates from hospital, and by the sounds of it, he's got the spirit and humour we'd expect! 💪
Shaun confirmed the accident happened when they struck a hare heading from Craigiebar to Brandish at around 130-140mph. He's been open about how his recovery is progressing. He says his left ankle, collapsed lung and clavicle have all now been fixed. His ribs will take a little more time to heal, and his right jaw and potentially his right ankle are still being assessed and treated. He's also dealing with some blurred vision at the moment, which is making it difficult for him to read messages and texts — so if you haven't had a reply from Shaun, that's why. He knows you're all thinking of him.
There is no further update on Maria at this time. Both Maria and Shaun remain very much in our thoughts, and we're sending all our love and best wishes to them, their families, and everyone close to them during what is an incredibly tough time. 🧡
We are all rooting for you both. 🤞

The GOAT on the roads next to the GOAT on dirt.

From little info I have seen about the sidecars is unfortunately it's a result of people playing with aero dynamics that know nothing about it.
Sad fact about IMTT.
7.5 deaths per mile of track.
Yes.
1972.
Its expensive, and then some, but nothing like it.
I prefer the NW200, its way safer , but still insane as its a proper race, not a time trial.
Never been but from the footage the fan experience must be the best for any form of motorsport. How many top tier events can you get that close to the action too?
Brad Pitt first time there....

😲
my wife is from near there, so hope to get to the northwest on one of the visits ,
Let’s hope we get some racing today.
2nd Supersport race went off - the top 6, at least, finished in the same order as the 1st race.
Even as a Ducati owner, well, As a Ducati owner, I appreciate the effort of Dean Harrison ( 2nd again) on the Screaming 600 . Up against Dunlop on a 955 Panigale V2 - well, that's a bloody near impossible task.
When Supersport had 600 4s, vs 675 Triples, and 750 Twins, it was a pretty good set up. But, I understand the World / Markets change, and there are now bigger bikes used / being produced. Good to see the 750 Suzuki 4 allowed in, though it's a generation back. Honda, just don't have a suitable bigger 4 or Twin to fit the new 'Evo' / 'Next Generation' class rules. I don't think that Triple concept they've shown, if / when it comes out, will be naturally aspirated ( it has an Electric Supercharger - fantastic idea, I reckon! ) as a suitable base bike.
Deano was front of Hickey on the 765 Triumph Triple, at least. And that's heck of a feat.
Sports BIkes out next. I think Dunlop with the Italian / Japanese splice together that is / are the Paton(s), will be hard to top. From what was just said by the commentary team, I gather the Patons may not be in the class next year?
Yikes, they've just announced an hour delay - not specified why. Hope the weather doesn't close in, and stop things.
Weathers been a bugger this year, but, that's how it goes with an Island in the middle of the Irish Sea, between Blighty and Eire.
I may use up a bit of my piddly superanuation to go ( again) next year. I've been quite a few times, over the decades, but, as a worker, stuck in various Garages / Workshops, so I would like to play the 'Tourist' for once, if I ever get back there.
The Senior just started.
For a Lot of the riders, this will be the 3rd race of the day, so, with these 4 laps, and the previous races plus warm up lap, they'll be doing 10 laps.
So, 378miles.
All at mindboggling pace - even the little Sportbikes / Super Twins.
Hope they All stay safe.
the senior got postponed till tomorrow i see,
3 wins for MD, but i agree, the V2 seems almost cheating against 600's, cool to see Mitch Rees get a silver replica in the supersport race completed,
