How long is Davi s contract?, in your opinions do you think his JGR bike is better/ worse/equal to the factory Honda he was riding! I think they are boh awesome machines, maybe different riders do better on certain brands. ( i, e, M Alessi Suzuki, Reed , Suzuki).

I think its just a 1 year contract. Im sure the JGR bikes are just as good (if not better) that the other factory teams

I would think that the bike its alittle better,JGR have a ton of ways to make badass part within days if not that day.So i dont think you wanna say it the bike, that thing is the trickest in the pits...no one has said much about there rear holeshot device.

Brayton doesn't use the rear holeshot device in the races. Im not sure if Davi does or not

I have no idea why so many people like to hammer on Davi.
He just came back from a pretty serious injury and he's really not riding that bad.
And I'm sure he's doing everything he can to try to improve.

Plus he seems like a good guy, not a dirty rider and no cocky attitude.

I have nothing but respect for Davi. I hope he has some strong finishes this year.

Gotta love how Davi can come out any given race and win or run with the top guys when he feels like it. Then get outside the top 10 when he doesn't. Dudes a lot like K-dub. I remember when he first came out (04?) he looked real impressive on the rm 125 which I never thought was a good bike for him.
I honestly wouldn't be surprised if you told me what dudes results today would be back when he first came on though. He has the tools any given day to beat the best, but some days hes just "Over it" it seems. Look how long at it, I guess that's no excuse though, Because 98 percent of the people hes racing against have been at it just as long. I remember when he was on DMXS before freestone last year Dave asked if he was looking forward to racing there, and Davi's response was " O yea, Im REALLY looking forward to riding in the 100 degree weather" or something to that extent. Just hearing that solidified my thoughts.
All in all though the dude is coming back from a major injury. I'm not trying to be hard on him, or anything. I cant imagine what its like to be him, cause I don't know what goes on in his life or whatever. Guess I'm just a fan guy.

After hearing about and seeing his crash this summer, I didn't think he was going to be able to ride ever again. Kudos to him for being back out there, making mains, and hopefully getting better as the season progresses.

The thing about Davi is he is doing decent, but decent in Supercross this year is outside the top 10...

davi is coming off a horrible injury from budds creek...i have listened to coy gibbs interviews and it sounds like he knew what he was getting with davi...he may have motivation problems, but he may still be recovering.. bag on him if you want, maybe he is an underacheiver, but he has won a couple main events

Why do people think millsaps sucks if he doesnt make top 10? or If he isnt finishing where he once has before? Does that mean only half the class is good?

JGR bikes are good just like any other bike on the line. The problem is if you don't have a rider then it does not matter.

JGR will never do anything in this sport by signing has beens or project riders like Cooper and Grayck.

A team manager can't make a bit of a difference for a rider. (Sorry Coy Gibbs and Larry Brooks) Team managers might think they can but the truth is they are only as good as the rider. Not vice versa.

Becasue like I said in the other thread he is more than capable of top ten, matter of fact he has never been privateer speed. The dude is one of the eliete in the sport in raw talent and speed. If his injury is still affecting him maybe he shouldve taken more time off to get healthy, not only does it make him look bad but it is horrible for a team of JGR's status and I doubt the sponsors are stoked on him.

My opinion is he is not still hampered by his injury or he shouldve been honest when signing his contract. Ezra Lusk has been training him so im sure all parties are aware of his past injuries. i still say thats not the problem though. Even j bone sounded a little hesitate when talking about Davi on the Pulp show and was not referring to his injuries. I just dont think he cares and its not good business to take a ride of that level and just "Be over it" ...JGR Fired Hanny before for not putting in effort and I would not be suprised to see the same here if he doesnt turn it around.....and dont come back with the "hes a race winner" because that just makes him look worse we are all aware he is capable of winning so results like this are a dam shame.

Actually I heard he broke his back recently when he first got on the JGR bike but seems if it was true they kept it hush hush...because "Its none of our business" yes none of our business as fans we are not allowed to know shit about the sport cept dumming down to watch the races no tolerance for giving the fans something to watch duriing the week i.e. behind the scenes info etc....Attitudes like that will do wonders for the sport and I love it when industry people come on here and try to tell us that we dont know anything and to keep our mouths shut were not allowed to know .....those guys are the same clowns that Kenny Watson bags on during the show....its like a high school click with these industry guys and teams. Seems the only thing were allowed to ask is "Hey can I have a sticker?"

If you industry and JGR and Team Mgrs are listening, hiding shit from the fans like injuries makes YOUR RIDER look a lot worse in the fans eyes ....if we knew what was going on we wouldnt be posting things like this thread and you wouldnt have to come on here and defend your riders but cannot tell us why....its a doubled edged douche sword IMO. The industry and race teams hate this site bec of threads like this yet dont guive is any info on a rider or maybe bike issues that can validate a regular top 5 guy getting 15-20th every round thus far. You want threads like this to stop? Then start talking or without any info we speculate and speculation is the mother of all evils.

Or.....there could be the usual Millsaps trend....and he does this year and year out, matter of face I post the same thin about him every year. Davi gets crappy results and right around the time teams are looking for riders towards the end of the SX season beginning of MX Davi turns it on and starts nabbing good finishes (does it every year) just look at his past finishing patterns, they are all the same and how quickly team managers forget his non contract time results, they all have short term memory loss and base the idea of signing him on the results he is currently getting.

I like davi but am so disappointed in knowing what he is capable of yet rarely delivering him so dont call me out saying I bashed him...there is logic behind my post so try and find it.

Good points lightning, i agree, i don t think people say Davi sucks , he s better than 99.9% of people on here, as well as he should be, he s getting paid to ride! Is just convenient when he does well, there are words on injuries, marriage problems etc! But when his results are subpar, the excuses come out. Top 20 in the world is great no doubt, but put him on a privateer bike and see what happens, IMO i doubt he would race!

There isn't one consistently factory guy out there that would ride a privateer bike...

And if they do, at most 1 year they will race it..

Actually, Davi did ride a 125 indoors but switched to the 250F for the outdoor series.

I never understood the trashing of the guy. Has he ridden up to his ability? Not in most peoples opinions, but it is what it is. Its not like he kicks puppies or claims to be the best rider in the world.

Didn't Mudflaps almost win Daytona on an RM-125? I remember him riding the poon dog out of that thing his rookie year at Daytona.
