Any truth to what cooksey reporting that Husqvarna supercross team is folding at the end of 2026.
Any truth to what cooksey reporting that Husqvarna supercross team is folding at the end of 2026.
They have three riders who hold contracts for 2027. Plus, there has been no buzz about it at all in the pits.
I hope cooksey wrong then and just click baiting people.
Seems like he is right more than wrong…it appears industry folks send him info (knowing he will report it) versus the mainstream moto media who won’t (or only report after something becomes official)..
Did he say Davey Coombs was behind this?
The Shop

DeCal Works Huge Plastic Inventory of UFO and Polisport kits.
Davey Coombs Mattress is behind it!
Cooksey posting click bait? That would never happen!
Isn’t he always wrong? Besides when he takes a post from a legit moto source and post it as his own?
Did Phil bankrupt them?
I think "The Broken Clock Rule" applies to Cooksey, and the rare times he does break news before other outlets is enough to prove to his followers that he's all knowing
Did he put flyers up about it? That's when you know he's really sure about something.
Do the riders hold contracts with the team directly or the parent group?
I think Cooksey may actually be correct the “team” will no longer exist - Rockstar Energy Husqvarna, but all the employees will simply be wearing orange.
Makes sense if Husqvarna sales are down, Rockstar Energy pull out and enables KTM to more easily fit all their line up (existing and Coenens) on one brand with a unified look.
Well, GasGas went last year.
Shame, as Husky seemed to have more of a history in the States over GG, but hopefully this year isn't the end for Husky. Don't care if Rockstar drops out, but hope Husky still has a factory team.
Well in that case, contracts are never broken.
I thought Pierer was folding gasgas and husky?
Closing shop is doable. Pay the contracts, release the riders (1099 contractors) from any obligations/conflicts, and set them free.
Gonna be a YUGE vital meltdown if Cooksey is correct. lol
Geico Honda riders had contracts too , right?
I don't see how the riders having contracts matters? If the team folds or runs out of money then that's it, right?
I'm sure more will come out soon, if it's true.
I think its completely plausible. KTM didnt just turn that ship around in a year and bring back rainbows and unicorns. Bajaj needs to stop the bleeding, and having 3 brands with the same product is the very definition of bleeding. I seen this coming since the news broke about KTM's financial situation. Sucks to see it but this is the last hope KTM has.
Pit Row
Suzuki had contracts in MotoGP too, shut everything down as well.
I could see them rolling everything into KTM, but that would mean they lose Rockstar as a sponsor.
I could see Bajaj wanting KTM orange everywhere on the track for their premier racing brand, and Husky shifting to fill a different role outside of racing (street, adventure, etc.).
PR incoming.
Oh fuck
Cooksey is right again
We need an “Alex Jones was right” jar but for Cooksey
So Cooksey was right....
who? 🤣
They’re turning the fricken fans gay!
Seems like some keyboard "experts" on this site who bad mouth Cooksey constantly might want to re-think things for a minute. I am no super fan of the guy, but he seems to know wtf is going on at times. See...you don't know what you don't know...until you actually know.
