Can we agree there's a difference between assumption and evaluating the information at hand and picking the most likely scenario with the limited information available, knowing that as more information becomes available, it will either confirm or change your initial evaluation? I interpret an assumption that there was no information to create the statement. IE: if I see some real ugly guy by with hot chick I might assume he must have big hands (decorum). But if I see same big ugly guy getting out of Lambo with same hot chick. Now with that info (knowing I could still be wrong) I might assess (with limited info) that one option is, he has a big wallet.

In both cases, likely wrong, but in one case, there was zero information, in the other case we start using limited information and make an assessment with what's available to us. If an aircraft came in with a distorted airframe and no other information, you'd have to check other aircraft to confirm it's not a design defect. But if you found out the pilot has a history of operating an aircraft outside of the parameters, you'd assess initially pilot damage and want to check logs to see what maneuvers were done that caused the damage. And if you could confirm that, you'd probably avoid inspections on many other aircraft.

As for whether did he/didn’t he get hit:  I had a minuscule Mesquite thorn prick my left ear while doing yard work and you would have thought a major artery was severed. Literally was unaware until my left shoulder felt wet. My wife thought I’d gone Mano a Mano with a raccoon.

I didn't know I was in the did he get shot bebate lol.

You've probably a few examples? Because there are many showing how Trump plants hatred in the USA. There is a double standard, Trump can post what he wants about who he wants, but at the same time he is so fragile that he is suing Comney (for the second time), now for an instagram post. He uses the DOJ for his personal vendettas, his personal witch hunts against everyone who doesn't think the same as himself.

His reaction on the death of Robert Mueller is another example of how he plants hatred in society. But while he gets more and more out of control, he still wants to be treated with respect. His double morals, double standards are very clear now with Jimmy Kimmel.

You've a president that behaves like a spoiled brat. He can say everything but no one is allowed to talk back because he's POTUS.

Yes and it wasn't a good joke. It is understandable that they wanna show, every night again all the things this president is doing. But it feels a bit lazy too. For the next three years you know for sure that he is going to be a tree of rude brutality, crazy decisions and even crazier statements and tweets that well keep on giving.

It was also said two days before the shooting occurred, if context matters.

Since you can't prove that claim wrong, you go for a personal attack instead. This is exactly what Trump does, and it's what has caused that messed-up situation in the U.S. Don’t forget that Trump did not distance himself from the conspiracy theories and hate that QAnon spread. He even alluded to them. As a result, someone (a republican) stormed into a pizza shop fully armed, searching for a pedophile ring (how ironic). Led by Hillary Clinton. Combined with shouting "lock her up", I would say that is pretty strong evidence of Trump' spreading of hatred against his political enemies. Blaming only the democrats for that is bogus. Saying that the nation you're living in is divided because "the others" demonized Trump is a lowball offer born out of an intellectual vacuum.

Honestly it is painful to witness that you ain't seeing it or are such supporters that you're willingly enough to turn a blind eye to it.

Sounds like that person was a mental midget regardless of political affiliations. Maybe instead of looking at the party, take a look at the person responsible for the crime.

So, if this one was staged, someone had to talk the officer into taking one to the chest fired by a running school teacher that lives with his mom.

That's some serious negotiating right there.

Yup.

It’s fake.

A dude is goin’ to prison…likely for life…’cause, it’s staged.

I don’t know what’s sadder: the dude that did this or the Kooks up in here.

Anyone post his manifesto? It reads like the stuff most of the Kooks post in here. Sad; but, true.

I read it while at Lemoore this morn…damn…Kook Central.

Not really.. It's an interesting time in history! Some of the storylines are box office worthy.. If something drastic happens in your country it gets reported on in ours..

Plus for good or bad the decisions your president makes sometimes have a direct effect on our lives! Right now people in our country are stressing about running out of fuel, paying for the fuel we have, inflation of the services that use oil.. Among other things..

I'd also ask why it was so important for CNN to grill her on that and now celebrate JK's horrible call for assassination. Consider that JK is saying that on licensed public airway with restrictions having a podium to reach millions of people. Celebrating his dog whistle is just wrong.

I think suggesting that anyone should be assassinated is pretty disgusting, but I don't think that's what Jimmy Kimmel did. He made a joke (in poor taste) about the fact Trump is fast approaching 80 years old and Melania is 24 years younger.

You can't pretend that people on your 'team' don't make inappropriate comments too, they make them all the time. Trump himself accused the six Democrats who urged military personnel to refuse unlawful commands of "seditious behaviour, punishable by death". Lauren Boebert once mocked Ilhan Omar and called her a Jihadist suicide bomber, Arizona state legislator John Gillette called for the execution of Pramila Jayapal, for example. You guys just smirk and ignore those comments but get your fannies in a flap whenever the other side does it.

I’m on team be better. Some will never get it, they just keep the nonsense going with childish behavior and finger pointing… ā€œHE DID IT FIRST/ SAID IT FIRST!ā€ It’s on both sides and instead of denouncing bad behavior this is what they do. This is what you’re doing.

You really think the joke Kimmel made was a call for Trump to be killed?  He ( Kimmel) has said it was a joke about the age difference.   Which funny enough, Trump made a similar joke the other day during a press conference with the King and Queen.  Saying that he and Melania would not be able to match the record of being married as long as his parents were.

Trump's statements about media are not inflammatory but Kimmel's joke was a serious call for an assassination?   No wonder the world is so divided, people are so stuck on interpreting everything the way they want to, even if that is not supported by reality.

The way You interpreted Kimmel's joke, is how some fringe crazy could interpret Trump's attacks on the media. Thinking that hey would be doing the world a service.

After experiencing the many death threats my mother and her co workers received and 2 assaults ( on my mother) One of her friends killed, I really thought the stats would be higher than they are. Only 36% of media of reported death threats, roughly 1 in 3 . The sad part is that You get used to them and do not take half of them seriously and many never get reported. ( At least during my moms time)  And it's getting worse. With assaults on media going up. A record year and record of a single day was on Jan 6th, when a lot of media were assaulted by the people storming the capital.

Rump Ranger, you just described your ā€˜side’ to a tee. The last president decayed away in front of us on live tv. Kimmel was an egotistical self serving evil POS long before this. Makes sense that you’d defend him.

Rump Ranger, you just described your ā€˜side’ to a tee. The last president decayed away in front of us on live tv. Kimmel was an egotistical self serving evil POS long before this. Makes sense that you’d defend him.

I don't have a side - I just clearly see Donald Trump for who he is - and have watched no more than 5 minutes of Jimmy Kimmel in my entire life. EDIT: and a minute or two of that was looking up what he said the other day!
