he Australian consumer watchdog has ordered an urgent recall of a popular line of dirt bikes due to a potentially lethal defect.
The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission found various competition and cross country off-road motorcycles by Honda had faulty handlebars.
“Due to a manufacturing defect the handlebar may not be secured tightly enough,” ACCC said.

“If force is applied while riding, the handlebar could move unexpectedly and result in a fall, which could cause serious injury or death.”
The defective handlebars were found on various CRF250 and CRF450 models manufactured between July 25, 2024 and April 15 this year.
Affected Honda customers are urged to stop using their bike immediately.
New parts are expected to be delivered to customers by Honda in mid May.
