There are a million things in the world today keeping members of it agitated and divided (see politics), this is unfortunately by design. Deleting things doesn't necessarily address the root cause and make the problem go away.
We all ultimately need to be better towards each other, and be able to hold civil discourse about difficult and complex topics with mutual respect (learn to hold two opposing truths). We will certainly be faced with a lot more of this over the next several years to a decade as civilization (particularly western civilization and capitalism in general) goes through one of its most significant transitions in history. We are all just so damn numb that we don't necessarily realize we are in it already.
This is like getting laps in at the practice track, so we are better prepared come race day. But, we're burning laps while we hear our valves ticking away, and the motor will grenade itself at some point if we don't remember to adjust them.
I find White Feather dude pretty disrespectful and annoying, but he taught me something today so I appreciate him for expanding my vocabulary (on an mx forum of all places). I think it should stay so that as new info comes out related to Epstein it can just be added here instead of making new threads up. Anything political can be divisive these days. Everybody has the option to not click on the thread. I get it, its like a car crash and hard not to look.
The Press conference by the first lady that came out of no ware seems like there will be more news coming. And that she is trying to get ahead of something she knows is coming. I've seen some reports of a friend of Melania's that was deported saying she was going make some sort of statements about Epstein and the involvement of people she knows. That may be BS it may not be. Hopefully she has something that backs up whatever she says.
I honestly wish that Trump's name wasn't in the files, that nobody every made any allegations ( true or not) about him. I feel like there would be much less pushback and it would be less split politically if supporters of Trump did not have to worry about him getting caught up in all of this. I find it so strange how many supporters of his have flipped from demanding all things Epstein are released and made public, to saying its all BS and we should forget about it. I'm not calling anybody specifically out, I've seen people in just about everyplace that Epstein is brought up acting like that. Personal friends of mine that for years had the position of release the files, and now are saying what Trump says. Its all a hoax by the democrats. I know that the hardcore supporters of his do not care what he has done so really proof of any accusations against him would change nothing. Proof that any allegations were false may change things.
My position is I don't care who did the bad stuff, if they did it and there is proof they should be held accountable. No matter who they are. I think its crazy that is not a universal stance.
With 3 million files that have been released, who knows what might end up being found or that is being dug into deeper by investigative journalists .And there are still 3million more files that the DOJ has said they have ,but have not released.

I don't think releasing a list of victims of anybody is a great idea unless the victims themselves are OK with it.
As far as I have heard, he's accused of doing stuff himself right? Not providing victims for others to do stuff to? So not really an Epstein like situation as far as I know.
If that is the case, we have a full list of names of his. His name. And that shows why a list of just names is useless since it tells You nothing about what they did.
If its a list of things he has been accused of doing that You would like to see, I think that would be great too. Expose and remove anybody from government that has serious allegations made against them when there is strong proof they are legit. Or make them have to run some sort of re election campaign to keep their jobs. Let the people they represent vote on if they stay or go.
It's refreshing to see consequences for people in positions of power in the US. Would be nice to see that same approach used on a consistent basis.

Well then I hope they either bring charges on everybody that broke the law. A list of names would be nice, but seeing people who commit crimes getting punished for them would be better.

That's the issue I see with just having a list of names that has no context . Nothing saying what got the name on the list or kept names off.
I know I'm likely wasting my time and its just a joke , making a list with a single name after calling out others for having a list of 3 or 5 names. But this post helps illustrate the issue I was speaking of about , so its not a total waste of time.
Oh yah and I was thinking about the why do I spend time in here? My mom and I used to talk about similar subjects and she was the only person other than my Dad who I know that was not so stuck on one side or the other and we could discuss similar subjects . Now most of my family is more left or right. Its a mix really. Growing up my mother was on the radio during the time the fairness doctrine was in effect. So she always had both left and right candidates on her shows and has been a true independent . Now with conversations on her bad days being difficult to get her to make a choice of which flavor Yogurt she wants, that part of life is gone. On good days she try's hard and can do ok, very well considering what she has going on.
I had started thinking about things I want to do that I'm unable to do. And how I'll be able to do them when she passes. That made me mad at myself, I do not want to look forward to her passing for any reasons, so I vowed to start trying much harder to live life while taking care of her 18 hours a day 6 days a week ,a and 24 hours the 7th. So sometimes my posts are rushed and I hit enter as I am going to help transfer her to use the bathroom. And sometimes they are more thought out while I have help or she is sleeping. I've started to try and find more normalcy in my life. She had a moment of clarity one day and told me not to "waste my life taking care of her". I told her it wasn't a waste and that I couldn't live with myself if I did not help her.
Sorry to hear what you are going through with your Mom.
I think you should take a break from non moto as you clearly have things that are more important and are emotionally invested in this thread and does not seem like it is the best for you.

So he's accused of his team emailing Epstein for donations ? Not really a great look. But I don't know that it qualifies him to be on a list of people that by being on the list it implies they were/are pedophiles.
If it was not a bulk emailing and more of personally written request for donations / meeting and the staffer knew about Epstein's past, then that's not good . But It would be like putting somebody on that list just because they had a photo taken with Epstein. Or maybe somebody that made a statement that they knew of Epstein's activities before his arrest , but they had not reported him until after he was already charged.
But personally, I would rather know who did the bad stuff themselves and see them charged. Make a separate list of the people who protected him/them and deal with them in a legal way too.
