but all it takes is two or three races of reed, canard, and dungey sweeping the podium....and any lead that rv and bubba are amassing at the moment is dust. thats not a unrealistic scenario on the right night/track all things considered.
throw in the fact that the H&H and JGR bikes are very competitive, they are private teams, so they arent going to be taking any team orders from above, so they will always be there on the starts. making it very difficult to run thru the pack if 2 or 7 dont get great starts.
its just too early to draw any conclusions. nobody has shown us anything we didnt already know before the season started except for maybe canard. who we were unsure if he was a contender. he's proven he is. other than that, nothing new has occurred...no conclusions about setup or health should be drawn. especially with dungey considering how short his career is, we have very little to sample from.

but like racer111, im just happy we got a "big 5" and about 10 very competitive/equal teams. so far the season is delivering very good racing.
Pit Row
Last night he made a mistake early that had him drop a couple spots. He passed both Brayton & Reed only to run into a rider that crashed and then passed Brayton again and stayed on Reeds wheel until the end. It was a one line type track.
It's only 2 races. The one thing for sure he needs to improve on are his starts. It looks like RV is nailing down the starts. If he continues to do that and doesn't ride over his head and crash, he will be tough to beat. If Dungey doesn't get a good start, he needs to make passes right away and not wait around.
Anyway i think that all riders have there ups and downs and in RD1's case its way to early to hit the panic button. He is still very much in the points and very much a contender, don't count him out yet guys!
he will be there for the long haul
the top 5 riders have finished in the top 5 spots at both of the 2 races so far
2 different winners
a good season so far , personally i hope to see multiple winners
Post a reply to: Dungey?
