With the series as tight as it is we might be in for an awesome final round. Pretty sure I’m going to pull the trigger on heading to Salt Lake. Anyone have tips for hotels, seats, etc. ?

Bummer this awesome championship battle will conclude in the worst city in the country. Hopefully the winner can fly out immediately so they don’t have to celebrate at swig with elder Jon.

There are plenty of hotels downtown.  The stadium is nothing special, and there isn’t an afterparty to be found.  Beautiful setting for the most boring city in the country.

Get seats on the west side of the stadium to avoid sun in your eyes.  Stay in a hotel downtown somewhere, near the Trax line.  Trax runs up 400 S directly to the stadium.

Can either take Trax to the stadium or get a tailgating spot if you want to tailgate.  I think no alcohol sales in the stadium so choose what you like beforehand.

The Pie Underground is right next to the stadium, pretty good pizza and beer for either before or after.

Downtown bars in the area of 200 S - 400 S between West Temple and 200 E.  Lots of variety and options.

If you want to get out in the dirt outside of race day, bring a mountain bike and go to Park City, or rent a side-by-side in Heber.

There's really great hiking and scenery in Big or Little Cottonwood Canyons nearby as well. I don't spend much time in SLC but everywhere around it certainly isn't boring.

they've been selling beer at the stadium for SX for a couple years now, just fyi.

also, anyone saying SLC doesn't have a nightlife has been living under a rock.

sure it's no Vegas with a strip bar every other block, but there are plenty of great bars, restaurants, etc. and it's amazingly family friendly downtown.  don't let the stigma/stereotype fool you.

My vote is either the Blue or Red Iguana. Great mexican food.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express and walked over to Spencers Steak House. Their "Utah Lamb" was one of the top ten meals I have ever had!

We just Uber'd to and from the Stadium, and as stated above sit on the west side.

Anyone want to buy some box seats? 4 available. Front row in SC2. Not going to be able to make it and Ticketmaster won’t let me sell my tickets because I don’t have an American bank account.

I like staying near campus, short walking distance to stadium, and fun mountain biking behind campus. Downtown is good as well, can’t go wrong IMO. I prefer seats on west side but nothing wrong with east just a little more exposed in the upper rows.
