You're going to be hard pressed to find anyone who thinks peak speed jlaw is faster than peak speed pastrana.

Take 02' 199 vs 08 jlaw and I don't think its close in any aspect.

Regardless of what Vitards think, they were both fast and both had a best finish of 2nd (premier class for SX).

AC! Everyone thought he would be the next BIG thing.

Injuries and bad luck kept him from being a multi time Champion.

Tedesco and  Langston, deserve to be in this list,

Langston may not only be the fastest to never win, but also the CLOSEST to winning one. If I remember correctly, he crashed while leading late in one race - as in, "white flag late." The details are hazy but I swear it was a heartbreaker.

125 class in Houston (I think?)

He was celebrating over a triple and crashed. There were pictures of him in cycle news sitting on the side of the track crying after the race. I think Travis Preston won that night on a husky.

That was 125s. GL was never a real factor in premier SX, but he didn’t get a ton of chances either

No, but show me someone who jumped the start gate cleaner than he did. 😄

He’s the goat of that for sure. Also the only rider to take off his skate and try to stab somebody

No, I'm definitely thinking about a 250 race. He had a Factory linkageless KTM at the time. This would have been before his renaissance with Pro Circuit.

EDIT: Wait, you guys are right. I must have been thinking about the Houston SX when Travis Preston won: https://www.espn.com/rpm/sx/2001/0325/1161793.html
