Hey guys, my old GoPro fleet is giving up the ghost (oooold Hero 4 Blacks ... and they were quite incredible at 2.7K).
What are you guys running these days that you're highly satisfied with?
I am happy to find used ones on FB Marketplace or Craigslist, I just am no longer in the know on these products.

New GoPros are pretty much a flop. Insta360 or DJI action cameras are pretty much the standard. New GoPro cameras have atrocious battery life, overheating, and firmware issues. My hero 8 even after its updates and whatnot will shutdown randomly, eat through a battery in no time. When it works its great, but the bumps along the way leave a lot to be desired.
DJI Action 3, 4, 5, or 6 are all great

I had GoPro hero 8’s, the introduction of hypersmooth in the 7 was huge, they started getting long in the tooth with damage, ect, I bought a couple hero 11’s and been disappointed since. They do good outdoors, but for indoor riding, they are almost unusable. Just picked up an Ace Pro 2 on sale and I hear DJI are going on sale next week. May pick up an action 5 or 6 depending on the sale. GoPro is DOA at the moment. I’ve been really happy with DJI drones at work. Like to really give the insta360 vs DJI a test this summer

Walker was talking about some new camera a few months ago. I never heard of it but don’t know much about them. He had good things to say about it though.
Appreciate the inputs above guys - I went with a DJI Osmos Action Pro 5, will report results at some point --- I am sure I am not going backwards :-)
Was looking to pick up an action 4 sometime in the near future. My Hero 8 keeps getting SD card error. Piece of fucking garbage
