That’s an awesome pic of an epic time in your life as a parent. I had my 3 kids in lace up hiking boots until they began racing.

My first pair of boots at age 10 were Full Bore low height Enduro boots. Mid shin height offered little protection but at least I could move and feel the pegs. Solved that problem with plastic soccer shin guards.

Astar has the best kids boots in my opinion; especially for small feet.

2 thoughts. Roll with it for a couple weeks and she will adapt, or just use a work type boot.

The little Fox booties in the K sizes are not bad. Zero ankle articulation, but they usually are not using a foot brake at that stage.

The Tech 7s in sizes 1-7 are in a league of their own IMO.

The nice thing about AStars youth boots is they come with a removeable insole so you get more life out of them for growing kids.

We haven't moved on to tech 7s yet, we still in the Tech 3s (i believe that's the number pre size 1)

Cowboy boots are a good option for this stage. Lightweight, usually pretty sturdy in the toe/foot and good coverage for the shin and calf areas.

Great idea.  Also, my kids wore full face/downhill MTB helmets.  I promise you my kids went faster on a bmx track or downhill than they ever did on an MX track.  Fuggin youth MX helmets are wayyyy heavy for those little necks.  Flame on.
