I know I know, but I have to put something in there to hide the taste of the coffee. I am thoroughly addicted to the whole coffee routine in the morning but not the taste.

I’m just messing with ya!👊🏻😂

Be careful with that. I'm very sensitive, especially after coffee.

The one thing I tell everyone that comes over, if you ever get one, the down side is you'll be spoiled and disappointed anytime you get coffee anywhere but home. We buy our beans at Costco, a particular blend that we like. You can press a button and have any type you like. Coffee, espresso, latte, whatever you want, the press of a button. Programmable to your liking, weak, medium, strong, inbetween, hot, a bit hotter, a bit hotter than that. You can program it to come on at a certain time so when you wake up it's ready to make your first cup. Press the button, it grinds the beans, pressurizes the water through the grounds, fills your cup. A bit spendy but worth every penny. The model we're using right now is the ENA 8, These things are a work horse. our machine probably gets over 2 dozen cycles a day. I'll personally run 10+ cycles a day just for me. Yes I drink too much coffee.

ENA 8

What coffee and blend do you buy at Costco? I’d like to try it….💯

My filter coffee unit picked up from a thrift store.

The Leopard Forest medium roast is insanely good but not easy to get hold of. A mate in Zimbabwe sent me this bag. I'll only have a cuppa of it every Friday due to the scarcity of the stuff.

Years ago, I used to go to the gym with my friends in the morning. After, we'd go to a local coffee house that brewed their own beans. I did not like the taste of coffee, had to add sugar and milk. The milk I had to add to keep from burning my mouth. Anyway, every time I added the sugar, the owner would cringe. One day I asked him why the cringe face. He responded that it was like an insult to his craft. He didn't mind the milk as the milk adds health benefits but adding sugar changes the taste of his creation. So out of respect for him I slowly reduced the sugar until I got to zero. It took a while to get used to the "new" flavor without the sugar but 25 years later I'm glad I made the change. I still use a decent amount of 2% milk as I like the taste added and don't like a burnt tongue. I can definitely see that some people would not care for the taste of coffee. However, if you acquire a taste for it, it definitely is something you look forward to when you wake up. On a side note, you might like it a bit better if you add Whiskey LOL

A nearby local coffee house, told us a while back that by the time we get our beans shipped here, they're already stale.

This the need for added cream and sugar.

(My additive is dark chocolate milk)

And that fresh ground beans are actually a considered a sweet beverage, in no need of any additional sweeteners.

I'm the odd ball out that soaks ground coffee beans for 24-48 hours in a craft for a cold brew. I found that cold brew helps with lower acidity and doesn't cause me heartburn. I do love a good cup of coffee. My wife on the other hands loves her creamer with a splash of coffee.  🤣

I should have said roasted. Brain fart. They roast their own beans in house. While I don't know about getting beans in stale. I do know that when you grind them right when you are about to use them it's different. Also, pressurizing the water through the grounds changes the flavor. I can't explain it. Prior to our first Jura machine, I read through a lot of forums and there are some crazy people out there that can tell you all about the chemistry. I'm not one of them. I just like the taste and convenience. Yes, I'm very spoiled. There's a few things you should invest in (independent of your hobbies), a good mattress and a Jura.

I guess I'm a bit of a weirdo, but I just don't get the whole 'Coffee Culture ('Kulture') - and it's absolutely effing rampant here in OZ.

I go to every bloody friends place, and they try to ply me with whatever is their current favourite, or 'discovery'.

And, the money some have in their machines, is at 'hooley dooley'  ( well, Holey F**k!) levels, to me at least!

I have Coffee, basically, to keep me awake - I did a stint at RPA Hospital last Thursday - being prodded, poked and injected with several chemicals - and was absolutely buggered from that, and successive late nights and early mornings,

So, later, just before I went into an arvo session of Hail Mary, I had a couple of very nasty ( that's what I asked for, after being given a near endless list of Coffee options, from the Barista ) Espressos. I feared that without it, once the lights went down, I'd pop off - it's become Pavlovian for me.

The movie was Great, so, perhaps I didn't need the caffeine!

I used to take a couple of shots of Very Potent Espressos just before my final runs at National and State DH races - MTB events seem always have Coffee Pushers  at them - and, as I so rarely had the stuff, with a bit of timing,  I'd be absolutely buzzing at the top of the Hill / Mountain - worked well, it got me a fair few Masters wins, placings and Titles - many moons ago.

Hello Boomslang.

I really didn't expect to see that pack in this forum.

From Crake Valley Farm we are really happy that you like our coffee.

Not spam . But my boss was all smiles when I showed him your post

First time doing a picture.

This is how we grind. Just use a plunge pot to brew.

We grow process, and roast our coffee.
