They need to make this happen, This would definitely get a great attendance.

So they are gonna race each other, but be scored separately?

The "series" of races should return in order to make it worthwhile for the USA to host events. It's a shame that Trans USA or Trans AMA type events ever left or were discontinued. This would make it worthwhile for Euros to attend also. What sense does it make for an American to compete in only one race of a 6 mo. long series.

In the 80s and 90s, the American riders competed in the USGP races to show that they were the top motocross racers in the world.  It was a point of pride.

Well that and back then the GP’s also paid purse money…US based riders pretty much stopped racing the USGP’s when they stopped paying the riders…

the fans didnt show, cause the US based riders didnt go,

no US state or local govt pays for the pleasure of having GP's show up,

Lol imagine them naming a race trans usa or trans ama today. Ppl would freak tf out and say mx has gone woke and is trying to force an agenda. Used to be such simpler times.

As far as combining some races the smx guys had said in the future they want gp guys to be able to qualify for and race smx vs the americans, that would be sick.

Back in the day, the 500 USGP at Carlsbad had about 50,000 people in attendance. Between motos there was a sidecar race. Another year was a mountain bike race. I believe John T was racing it with drop bars.

I'm sure if they put a USGP in the Southeast during the spring attendance would be legit. As a moto fan, I'm tired of seeing the same old tracks get races. Grow the sport and branch out to other places/tracks. We've seen GH, Lakewood, Red Budds Creek, etc.

Tired of the Californication of this sport.
